Much worse than I would have anticipated based on the area and reputation the district has. I understand that budget cuts have lead to larger class sizes but they have yet to even mail my child’s final report card to me now that it’s July.

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBeing a military family, we have had exposure to different school systems in different states. This school, while it outperforms some of its equals in other districts in the area, is stuck in the dark ages. The website is useless, the communication is poor, and the principle doesn't follow up when warranted. In order to find out your assigned teachers you literally have to drive to the school to read a list posted on a window. The testing results at the lower levels are left to the interpretation of the teacher. One teacher we had last year was in a career track program so there was a substitute for literally 1/3 of the year. It was rediculous. While it is the lesser of the evils when it comes to the Groton district or especially New London, it is by no means a 7 when compared to say, a Virginia lvl 7 school.
