This school is dirty, they throw papers at kids because there mad, this school is yucky. Bathrooms smell like cat pee. Teachers purposely make kids cry and laugh at them I’ve witnesses it. And teachers say to fight someone when you’re mad like?! What is this school, horrible teachers horrible social emotional support. Do better Farmington.

I’m a student here myself, teachers don’t care how you feel or anything you do, and the lower income students at this school get treated badly and the teachers don’t care and don’t do anything to stop it. There’s a lot of bullying that no one does stuff about, horrible school I don’t recommend

This school is horrible I wish I could give it zero stars, the staff is horrible especially office people, this school is very unsupportive and doesn’t care about your opinion. This school doesn’t take both sides, though the education system isn’t to bad the staff makes every kid in this school not want to wake up and go. I don’t feel like this school is the best environment for my daughter. Struggling with depression anxiety and adhd, she has a iep plan set and no teacher ever follows through with it. This school is ruining kids mental health and the principal is the worst in the building. The school guidance counselor has not supported my child even though she says she has and will through out the year. They don’t let her call me when she’s having a mental break down they tell her to take a deep breath and walk to the water fountain and back and then do her work. Never and I mean ever send your child to this school if you truly care about there mental health

I used to live in Farmington until 2022 and attended Farmington Public Schools until the 7th grade.Education/Learning: The education is advanced, teaching a year ahead of learning (as from what I see in my new school district). Test scores and overall learning skills and methods were the best I've ever seen and very impressive!Teachers: I loved my teachers so much, they were the sweetest teachers I've ever had. (Ms. Russell, Mrs. Kathies, Sra. Wilson and Mr. Wojytna.) They all cared for every student and treated them as their own kid. I always felt at ease around them and looked forward to seeing them everyday. When it came to handling emotions, bullying, and helping kids out, they always did their best. Most of the teachers in IAR did the same and were loved among most students.Bullying and Admin: Admin never dealt with bullying well. Most of it was just brushed off and deemed as "not enough to be considered bullying." The bullying at IAR isn't out of people being cruel for fun, it's targeted mostly at a certain group, the LGBTQ+ community. As someone who has seen this first hand, the solution to the problem never was good enough. My friends would be taunted and teased by kids daily and they were never punished well enough by admin to the point my friends were afraid to go to school all together. In all honesty, teachers handled the bullying better, giving the maximum punishment they could give, hoping that admin would do more, as to which they failed in. Overall it isn't a bad school at all, all schools have their weak points but this one is better than any by far. I really miss IAR and would give anything to go back and complete 8-12th grade. If given the choice to come back, I would without hesitation.
