Posted by a parent on 8/9/2012We moved here three years ago and are so impressed by the quality and care that the staff bestows upon the children. Our children made an easy transition thanks to a new student group that the principal suggested. Our daughter has special needs and the staff is well equiped and pours TLC into their work. There is real community at Sherman as well, the entire school has wonderful traditions including student body/ town meetings highlighting the great things the students are up to. Parent involvement is great and encouraged. We find the parents to be kind, mellow and active with the school. The entire staff is fantastic including the lunch staff, custodians and administration. We're really glad that we moved here. A+++

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a wonderful neighborhood school. The teachers and administrators care about and enjoy their students. The current principal grew up in Bridgeport which gives him a unique perspective. He does an excellent job of communicating with the families. The older students seem close-knit and supportive of one another, quite unlike my own middle-school experience. The administrative staff and teachers were very caring. All the kids seemed to be happy and enjoyed the school and their peers.
