3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a former student at this school, and there’s is one thing I can say about it. They never treat the sped kids equally. I have gotten emotional and verbal trauma from the students and teachers within the school. This is coming from a former student who attended this school and is on the autism spectrum, they never written any incidents that happened inside the school whenever I told my mom. It wasn’t until I went to another school that my mom found out in a PPT that they never logged in what has happened in the past with the paraprofessionals and teachers. I give this school a 0/5, please don’t send your students there if you want them to have mental health issues later on in life.Other Review1y ago2 Reviews - Winthrop School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFirst year at this school. There is a new principal, after the long-term principal went to another school. Enrollment is very high due to the Coronavirus and the fact that the diocese never closed down the schools. This school is a great neighborhood school with teachers who care. I was very surprised at the amount of clubs and sports teams the school has. The students are taught catholic values and i'm so happy that my daughter is being taught about our great country and our heroes when so many public schools seem to be at war with the police and patriotism overall.Parent Review4y ago7 Reviews - Holy Family School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have two daughters at Unquowa, one in kindergarten and one in first grade, and after exploring many options (including our well-rated public school, several independent schools, such as Green Farms, Foote, Fraser Woods, and others) we found the ideal balance of academic rigor and socialemotional wellness here. The emphasis on community is evident the moment you step on campus. As a health-conscious family, we value Unquowa’s commitment to nutrition, outdoor time, movement, and athletics. It is truly exceptional. Even our kindergartener, who initially wanted nothing to do with soccer, has been inspired by the school culture and coaches to want to participate. That intrinsic motivation speaks volumes.Small class sizes allow children to be truly known. Our first grader has fallen in love with learning. She reads for pleasure, reflects on characters and plot, asks thoughtful questions, recognizes art in the community, excels at chess, and is genuinely excited about math. We recently traveled to a Spanish-speaking country, and her language skills at this age were exactly what we had hoped for.The kindergarten program builds confidence early, giving children opportunities to be on stage and speak in front of peers. Teachers are deeply attentive, learning specialists are proactive and knowledgeable, and leadership matters: Head of School Sharon is visibly committed to each and every student.I’ve read a few one-star reviews and was surprised by them. While no school is right for every child, claims that Unquowa does not take bullying seriously or caters only to children with learning disabilities do not reflect our experience. In fact, several families we know came to Unquowa because of bullying elsewhere, and we have consistently seen social issues addressed thoughtfully and proactively. The school supports all learning styles - our children do not have learning disabilities and are thriving both academically and socially.Unquowa is inclusive, thoughtful, and focused on critical thinking rather than pushing viewpoints. I’ve never observed favoritism, only a genuine effort to nurture each child’s strengths and spirit. For families seeking a warm, values-driven community that prioritizes both academic excellence and emotional well-being, Unquowa has been an exceptional fit for our family.Parent Review3mo ago99 Reviews - Abbie Loveland Tuller School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would not recommend St. Andrew Academy to any parent who is looking for a supportive or structured environment for their child. Communication with parents is extremely poor — emails and concerns often go unanswered, and there is no real follow-through on the behavior plans they claim to have in place. If your child needs any kind of behavioral or emotional support, this is not the school for you. They do not have a proper or individualized behavior plan system, and they seem unwilling to put in the time or effort to help a child succeed. Instead of working with families or following their own handbook policies, they are quick to push children out if they find them “too challenging.”The principal and Pre-K3 teacher in particular appear inexperienced in handling young children with developing emotions and needs. The lack of communication, empathy, and professionalism makes it clear that the child’s well-being is not their priority. Parents deserve a school that listens, supports, and partners with them — unfortunately, this is not one of those schools.Parent Review7mo ago17 Reviews
