School starts at 8:05 a.m., yet my child is marked tardy for arriving at 8:06 along with a line of 20 other students entering at the exact same time. Posted by a community member on 5/28/2015Doolittle School has not been very challenging or supportive for my granddaughter. A few teachers are stuck on making the students "responsible" and are not supportive of those students who need nurturing. For an elementary school in a supposed exemplary district, it is very disappointing.

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDo not put your kids in this school. As other reviews note, this school has a massive bullying problem. The school does nothing to address it. Emotional and physical abuse is apparently tolerated. The school also plays favorites with parents, at the expense of innocent children whose parents may not be wealthy. It is sad and surprising a church would tolerate this. The academics have also persistently deteriorated over the years. I could agree with some of the earlier reviews here from before 2020--there were strong teachers that actually cared. Now the academics are horrendous. Teachers are constantly absent, necessitating substitute teachers that basically are just babysitters. Kids approaching middle school age are still practicing their coloring! 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to Prospect CT 4 years ago. The Elementary school is amazing! Strong curriculum and great learning environment. Beautiful school with multiple playgrounds. Huge field and running track. Like new facilities and technologies. Lots of opportunities for the children.
