My oldest children have graduated from Dood and I feel blessed as a mom for my children to be able to have such amazing teachers, great emotional support, and extracurricular activities offered at Dodd Middle School.
Posted by a parent on 6/18/2023Plain and simple Dodd Middle School is too big. Too many students. Very slow to identify at-risk students. Once identified, slow to implement services. If there is a plan in place teachers are not notified to implement plan.
Posted by a parent on 3/16/2018So very happy with dodd school. The teachers have been so supportive and absolutely wonderful. I did not think we have such great communication in middle school, I'm so pleasantly surprised. Really looking forward to the rest of our time here.

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDo not put your kids in this school. As other reviews note, this school has a massive bullying problem. The school does nothing to address it. Emotional and physical abuse is apparently tolerated. The school also plays favorites with parents, at the expense of innocent children whose parents may not be wealthy. It is sad and surprising a church would tolerate this. The academics have also persistently deteriorated over the years. I could agree with some of the earlier reviews here from before 2020--there were strong teachers that actually cared. Now the academics are horrendous. Teachers are constantly absent, necessitating substitute teachers that basically are just babysitters. Kids approaching middle school age are still practicing their coloring!
