The teachers at Gateway are great. The principal, Ashley Lawson, leaves alot to be desired. I spoke with her on a few occasions about some issues we had and nothing got done. She would never return emails or calls. I would have to show up unannounced to speak with her. I spoke to the superintendent
Posted by a parent on 12/19/2021I wasn’t sure about this school due to the rating but I could not be happier with the school. My son teacher is amazing and he has learned so much. Maybe they don’t focus on school testing but for sure they focus on the student development. Thank you!

The teachers and administrators are committed to the kids academic success. They have accommodated our dyslexic son. They have provided opportunities for college credits for our junior and provide vocational electives that our boys enjoy. Merit provides an all around environment for our kids to learn and explore what they are good at and would enjoy to do in life. In general the children are all well behaved and the teachers are skilled in classroom management allowing learning to take place. The parents care about the school and are also involved.
