Read what parents are saying about Silver Creek Elementary SchoolOur family's experience with Silver Creek Elementary has been nothing short of outstanding. We have two daughters who attended this school, and our journey with Silver Creek has been remarkable in every aspect. The teachers here are truly the heart of the school; they are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also genuinely caring and supportive. Their dedication to each child's learning and well-being is evident in the way they personalize their approach to meet individual needs and foster a love for learning. The curriculum is well-rounded, challenging, and engaging, ensuring that students are not only academically prepared but also encouraged to be curious, creative thinkers. Our daughters have thrived, developing both intellectually and socially. The school also offers a variety of extracurricular activities, allowing students to explore their interests and talents beyond the classroom.Furthermore, the school environment is warm and welcoming, making both students and parents feel valued and part of a close-knit community. Mr Oliver, and the rest of the administration is approachable and responsive, always willing to listen and collaborate for the betterment of the students and the school. We are extremely grateful to Silver Creek Elementary for providing our daughters with a strong foundation for their future education and for instilling in them a love of learning that will last a lifetime. We wholeheartedly recommend Silver Creek Elementary to any family seeking an exceptional educational experience for their children.
Posted by a parent on 12/20/2023My children attend this school. We moved to the area for this school. My family has not had a positive experience, with the exception of one teacher, Mrs. Masterson. She is amazing. I won’t name anyone else but I will say that when a teacher no longer seems to like their job or is getting ready to leave or retire, do NOT let them teach kindergarten. There is a tenured Kindergarten teacher there who talks negatively about kids and their parents to other teachers which results in all of their future teachers disliking you and your child. This teacher seems to have more clout and hold more sway than the principal and assistant principal. I’d steer clear of this school for kindergarten and first grade if you’d like to preserve your child’s love of learning and excitement to go to school. This isn’t the place. We deal with bullying, parent who are friends with staff and therefor their children are protected from consequences, teachers being petty with kids, and I think the most difficult thing is that if you try to have a discussion with the the principal that isn’t sunshine and roses, you have just destroyed your child’s entire experience at the school. He will act like you are invisible. He also lets his Assistant Principal do all of the hard work while he waves in the drop off line like the Homecoming King, tweets and sends newsletters. There is no reward for trying to be a parent who is engaged in your child’s scholastic experience. I think that teachers are underpaid and overworked and take it out on the kids and their parents who they feel don’t do enough. Teacher Misery on Instagram pretty much sums it up.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe came to this school reluctantly since our journey within public schooling left A LOT to be desired. A new program opened up on this campus and the district thought it would be a good fit. We started the school year very hesitantly but finished the year with a renewed sense of faith in public schools. The sense of community among the staff, kids, and families is immense. The teachers truly enjoy their jobs and it reflects in the attitudes of the kiddos, including mine. The social-emotional education that they are receiving is inclusive and amazing. The special education department is top-notch. The team actively seeks to work with families in making sure that kiddos have the right support in place to be successful. It doesn't feel like a huge fight every IEP meeting and that is a breath of fresh air. We just love it here.Parent Review9mo ago - Hope Montessori Academy
