This school has more drama than any other elementary school in the county. There are many parents who will drive their kids to other schools outside of their neighborhood to avoid this school. Silverthorne Elementary is a great school! The school is small and the new principal is very engaged with the kids. My son's teacher was fabulous too! Dillon Valley is struggling. Students are behind in nearly every grade level, and while the social emotional skills being taught are wonderful life skills, our children cannot excel in the United States without a strong education. We will be moving out of the district and seeking better educational opportunities for our children in 2024. If you are considering a move to Summit County, I strongly urge you to learn more about the school system before relocating here with children.
