Slamming children with homework at age 6-7, has severe negative side-effects; and we deal with this daily. It is appalling that a teacher is allowed to yell at students the way this woman has been so accustom to doin

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have worked around the United States as a teacher (coast to coast). Heritage Elementary School has been by far my favorite place to work. I also feel that it is the place where my best teaching (and therefore my students' best learning) took place. The students, families, and staff work really well together as a unit rather than as fragmented pieces. I am an educational doctoral candidate now and reflect on how many things this school does right (from my perspective and experience). I am forever impressed by the values and efforts put into making students feel safe, loved, supported, and challenged. In the face of enormous challenges, this school puts forth everything it can to give the best experience for students and families.
