Read what parents are saying about Lincoln Elementary SchoolOne of the sweetest, most nurturing neighborhood schools in the city of Denver. Both the traditional and Montessori teachers are incredible. Many of them have been at the school for more than 10 years. The principal is a former Montessori teacher and knows the strengths of both forms of education. Her leadership has been a light in the public school system. There are very few schools that do both traditional and Montessori education this well. Both of my children have thrived, love school, feel comfortable and safe in this environment.
Posted by a parent on 11/9/2023I am a parent of a current elementary student in the Montessori track at Lincoln and plan to enroll our younger child here next year. We have been so impressed with Lincoln. Our daughter has kind and caring teachers and is thriving in and outside of the classroom. The specials, enrichments and after school program are also awesome. The parent community is very engaged and works closely with the school. It is obvious that Lincoln is dedicated to creating and maintaining a caring and inclusive community. We are grateful for Lincoln!
Posted by a parent on 9/18/2023Lincoln has been the perfect fit for our family - all 3 children have attended since kindergarten. Our youngest is in her last year as a 5th grader, off to Middle School next year. We will miss the teachers and community of this special school.
Posted by a parent on 4/30/2023We have been at Lincoln now for one year and love the community this school has. Our daughter is thriving, reading and just overall happy. When the bell rings, she screams "Yay!" and runs right into school. The amount of growth and development we have seen in her since starting has been enormous and we attribute much of it to the teachers, her peers and her after care program too. The teachers and staff care and are very responsive at Lincoln and we are so happy to have a Public Montessori in our neighborhood!
Posted by a parent on 11/17/2022We have been attending Lincoln for two years and are extremely happy with the close community we have formed. The school PTSA (Parent Teacher Staff Association) is what sets this school apart. At every level, you feel involved with your child's school and community. My daughter comes home excited about what she is learning and is supported emotionally. The family engagement is incredible. From neighborhood fundraising, movie nights, scavenger hunts, and bike/walk rodeos. The school is welcoming and has an exciting/safe learning environment. For anyone who is looking for a community for their child, you will not find a better school.

I have witnessed her getting loud with one of the male paras in the hallway. I saw this picking up my little brother from school. I consider this unprofessional and very disturbing behavior to treat colleagues like this. Next year i will be suggesting to pull my brother out because of this para. This is not how you treat fellow employees!Other Review11mo ago - The Montessori School Of Washington Park

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen I went to this school the teachers were excellent in 1st-4th grade , but once I went into 5th grade that's when it all changed. The teacher didn't really care about the students all they cared about was the students grades and getting paid. If you were falling behind in a subject well good luck to the student because there was no support, and if there was than the parents would have to pay that specific teacher money and that was on top of the tutition fee as well. There was a lot of bullying 5th-8th grade and teachers wouldn't even do nothing about it. They didn't care about the students mental health at all. If your kid has depression or anxiety they won't get any support at all. Especially if a student has special needs than kiss that education gone because they didn't have the proper tools to deal with them. The teachers would get overwhelmed even with 24-26 kids in a room. They couldn't handle that big of a class, and there were no supports for them if the teacher needed help. I remember that my art teacher almost quiet her job because of how disruptive the class was.Other Review1mo ago - Colorado Christian School
