Read what parents are saying about Stratton Elementary SchoolWe could not be happier with our decision to ‘choice into’ Stratton. Our child’s kindergarten teacher could not be any better. We love that the kids continue to have exposure to art, music, PE, and are developing social skills with the integration of the CKH program. We truly feel we have been welcomed into the school community.
Posted by a parent on 1/23/2020My daughter was hospitalized for 3 days and 3 nights because they didn’t realize my daughter was having a bad asthma attack. They were aware of her asthma and the signs her attacks. They called me saying she said her stomach hurt so I went to get her and when I got there she was gasping for air. I took her to the hospital where her oxygen stats were at 50% (it has to be 90- 100%) my daughter was put on oxygen and had to be given breathing treatments every hour. If the stupid court system wouldn’t have forced me to keep my daughter here I would have pulled her right away. This all happened the FIRST WEEK of school.
Posted by a parent on 5/30/2018Stratton has been great! This is my daughter's first year in Kindergarten and she loves it. Her teacher is awesome and always keeps parents in the loop of things happening or going on. The hold a lot of activities for kids throughout the year and events to get them out the house. Overall it has been a great experience from the beginning tour of the school until now. I only wish the school was more updated in the inside and had better amenities for the kids.
Posted by a parent on 4/3/2018Stratton is a great school where most of the teachers are highly committed. We are very lucky as parents to have found such good school. My oldest daughter has thrived in this environment and I would highly recommend this institution to other parents.
Posted by a parent on 2/8/2014Stratton Elementary School has undergone many changes in recent years. Some of the characteristics that made it a five star school, staffed by five star teachers and attended by five star students have changed, but it remains a very good school. Parent involvement has fallen off some in the last couple of years, but still has a history of higher involvement than most schools. The Integrated Thematic Instruction days are behind us, as most of the current staff is no longer trained and committed to that philosophy but some of the underpinnings remain in practice. More than half the students are permitted into Stratton, demonstrating how a healthy reputation can positively impact enrollment and school performance. Over the years, parents have raised tens of thousands of dollars for the students and school. For over ten years the PTA funded the art program for every student at the school before the district allocated funding for the art teacher's salary. Other fund raising allowed every student to participate in field trips and purchase much needed equipment and items for individual classrooms. Stratton will always be a great school, some years greater than others.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTaylor elementary has been in our lives for over 7 years starting with my oldest daughter. It has always been a good school to us we even took her out her second grade year during the pandemic and put her in another school to see if we could get her more advanced and that school ended up holding her back so she had to repeat the third grade there. We started attending back in her fourth grade year and now she's in 5th grade and she's advanced on so many levels that the school is putting her in other classes to teach her more. I appreciate the patience and the guidance that Taylor elementary and the principal Kimberly Gilbert and staff put towards my children day and night. Now my youngest has attended preschool and kindergarten there and if it were up to us we would stay there. It's a good community where they are focused on teaching your children life goals through all types of education whether it be physical mental or emotional. I would definitely recommend this school especially if you're looking for a community that will put forth effort into your children communicate with you about what's going on and have joy at heart while doing it. Thank you so much Taylor we love you.Parent Review2mo ago - Divine Redeemer Catholic School
