Read what parents are saying about Howbert Elementary SchoolWe love Howbert and have been very pleased with our child's education there. It is a tight-knit school that has a real sense of community. My favorite things are how the kids get lots of time outside nearly every day, how the kids are greeted by name when they walk into school and how little turnover there is with the staff.
Posted by a parent on 2/20/2024Howbert is a great school and we love it. The staff and teachers are some of the kindest people to have ever been in a school and they make the environment wonderful to be in. They are all supportive of every student and never stop encouraging everyone to do their best. We would highly recommend this school to any parents.
Posted by a parent on 1/29/2024My son loves pre-school at Howbert!!! I’m super excited for him to be able start taking part in more of the outdoor activities next year when he’s in Kindergarten. Ms. Cierra and Mrs. Fatima are both wonderful teachers and provide a very kind environment for learning.
Posted by a parent on 1/21/2024The teachers genuinely seem to care about the students. Both of my children have flourished at Howbert.
Posted by a parent on 1/21/2024We love Howbert and are so grateful to have this as our neighborhood school. The school is small and has such a wonderful sense of community that you just don’t get at other schools. We also love that it is the Pathway Outdoor Education School for District 11 and they partner with Catamount Institute to help get our kids outside. No school has a better staff or community than Howbert!

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe came from another alternative charter school nearby, which we left due to concerning academic achievement scores. At Buena Vista, our kids are challenged and cared for as their unique, individual selves. Individualized work plans come home every week, and my kids are excited to talk about the work they are doing at school. We are really appreciating the challenges they are presented with and the support they are receiving!Parent Review6mo ago - Jackson Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is one of the best schools I have personally experienced in the springs. West elementary provides plenty of resources for their students. The staff is wonderful to work with & to know! This school truly cares about providing the best education for their students! They also help with outside resources if you are in need.Parent Review1mo ago - Salem Lutheran School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis precious school has the best atmosphere. It is a small Christian school offering PreK through 12th grade. The students are happy and full of life and the staff are engaged and present with each other and the students. The coffee shop on campus teaches leadership as well as marketable skills. It feels laid back while clearly focusing on academics. The unique adventure program offers opportunities to grow in knowledge and experience in the outdoor culture of the beautiful state of Colorado. It's not often you find a climbing wall and students repelling off of balconies or a class on Wilderness First Aid. Small class sizes allow for each student to get the attention they need to have every opportunity to do their best. Another great option offered to their students is the theater department. Students get immersed in the entire production process, so whether they love the stage or working tech they grow in their appreciation of the fine arts. This is a Christian school with a capital "C". It is the express intent of every class to experience Jesus and learn to make Him known. Students have the opportunity to worship and learn more about the faith they are developing through chapel, ministry opportunities and retreats. While it might not be a great fit for every family, I'm glad our family found this hidden gem.Parent Review1mo ago
