Read what parents are saying about Foothill Elementary SchoolMy 4th grade teacher was really mean I hope they're doing horrible my 5th grade teacher lives in my neighborhood so I can't really say anything negative about them they were pretty nice anyway tho and my third grade teacher was mean and then started not being mean I was only there for 3 year and it contributed to my mental health issues and set me up for failure or something idk my friends were really mean and I hated the principal that was probably why I hate this school so much
Posted by a community member on 2/17/2024Great school with a wonderful staff of teachers who you can tell love the kids, love learning and are truly happy at Foothill. Classes seem well structured and the hallways are filled with amazing art projects. Really great feel as a parent of where my child is throughout the day!
Posted by a parent on 2/5/2016Our son is in his 3rd year and our daughter is just starting. So far, the teachers have been great - they have been uniformly passionate and enthusiastic, including the music, art and library teachers. It's been all we could have hoped for so far.
Posted by a parent on 9/8/2014We just finished out first year at Foothill. They did a great job engaging the kids and communicating with the parenting. Our son had Ms. Lawton for kindergarten and she was a wonderful and nurturing teacher. We saw our son's reading just explode under her guidance. There is really a nice sense of community among the parents as well. We had one sort of bullying issue with an older child on the bus and the principal called me back within hours - which felt very responsive and was much appreciated.
Posted by a parent on 5/21/2013Great school, great community. I love the way this school is run especially for being one of the two largest elementary schools in Boulder. We are very happy there! Teachers are great too!

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family has had a wonderful experience at Uni Hill Elementary. I currently have a 2nd grader and a 7th grader. The 7th grader went on to middle school after Uni Hill very well prepared for the transition and for his next chapter. The teachers and administration are highly qualified and dedicated to their students and school community. The new principal has brought a new energy and fresh perspective this year. There is a strong sense of community and exciting cultural diversity that augment the stellar bilingual/biliterate education. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide our kids with a bilingual elementary education that shall benefit them for their whole life. Such a unique experience in the public school sector.Parent Review5mo ago - Shining Mountain Waldorf School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageShining Mountain Waldorf School has been a blessing for our family, and our journey from the early childhood education program to now entering middle school has been nothing short of extraordinary. One of the standout features of Shining Mountain is the exceptional diversity in programming. Early exposure to foreign languages, architecture, astronomy, and other unique subjects has broadened our son’s horizons and fostered a love for learning that goes beyond the conventional classroom setting.Equally impressive is the emphasis on the arts at Shining Mountain. From ceramics and handwork to orchestra, choir, and woodworking, the school provides a canvas for creativity that allows students to explore and express their artistic talents. Athletic activities at Shining Mountain are not just about traditional sports like track, basketball, and volleyball; they also include unconventional and exciting activities like circus and amazing class trips. This unique approach to physical education not only keeps our child engaged but also fosters a sense of teamwork and resilience in a fun and dynamic way. However, what makes Shining Mountain truly exceptional is the culture that the community actively curates. The school offers so many ways for families to be involved in their child's education, creating a sense of belonging and connection. The seasonal festivals that involve the entire school body and each family have become cherished traditions for us. These events not only celebrate the changing seasons but also reinforce the sense of community and shared values that define Shining Mountain.Additionally, we are thrilled about Shining Mountain's investment in the future of its student body, exemplified by the construction of a beautiful new high school on the already extraordinary campus nestled in the foothills of North Boulder. The administration and faculty at Shining Mountain deserve special praise for their unwavering commitment to providing a place of wonder and awe for all children. Our family feels incredibly fortunate to be a part of the Shining Mountain Waldorf School community. The school's commitment to diverse academic programming, rich artistic experiences, unique athletic offerings, and a community-focused culture has created an environment where our child thrives. If you are considering a school experience in Boulder where your child can thrive, you owe it to yourself to visit the campus and feel what Shining Mountain is all about.Parent Review2mo ago - Sacred Heart Of Jesus School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had one child attend middle school at Sacred Heart and one child graduate from our local public BVSD middle school. The education at Sacred Heart was far superior and he was much better prepared for high school than my other child. He is currently thriving in all of his advanced classes. As a former educator myself, I feel that Sacred Heart helped him develop critical thinking skills and was more challenging academically. The math and writing preparation was more advanced. The small class sizes were also very helpful in keeping him engaged. I would highly recommend Sacred Heart.Parent Review1y ago - Jarrow Montessori School
