6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis year has been fantastic. The principal and assistant principal are so engaged with the parents and the students. The principal has been to many of the extracurricular events and is always making himself available to parents. The communication has improved sooooooooo much this year. We receive weekly communications from the office about upcoming events for the school and for the district. We also receive communications from the teachers about upcoming classroom activities and what our student is learning in the upcoming weeks. Like any school, a lot of the learning is based off of state testing so I wish there was a different way to see how each student is doing individually but I also understand there has to be a way to do an overall view on hundreds of students at one time.The mental health provided by the school and the district gets better every year as well. They have on an on campus mental health team as well as a new program called Hazel health that provides support to any student.There is a nurse on site daily which is phenomenal. The last school district I was in had a traveling nurse that rotated between schools so to have a full time nurse on site is a blessing. The teachers are amazing. They have a great team this year. There are a lot of kiddos and I can only imagine how mentally exhausting it is to manage all the emotions and situations that come up in a day. It takes special people to be able to teach and Peakview's teachers are incredible for all they do.Parent Review4mo ago
