Linda Vista Elementary School

This year, the primary school has a new principal, and a lot has changed. Students receive awards for being kind and pleasant rather than having outstanding grades. Don't outstanding students who excel deserve recognition? The principal also anticipates that children should leap out of moving cars in the morning when they are dropped off.  If cars stop at the gate to drop of their kids, they are given dirty looks and hand movements by the principal. We are adults, we have been dropping kids off for years so we know what we are doing and do not need to be told to keep moving. We miss Mrs. Petrovacki.

My kids moved to this school less than a year ago. We moved out of USA. We were afraid on day one of school. Sometimes, we need to throw doubts away to take a leap of faith and follow our instincts because life depends on it. We are glad, we made this choice and thanks to school teachers, principal, front desk and community for welcoming us. Immense gratitude

Hola, me encantaría poner a mi hijo en esta escuela, el apenas iniciara kindergarden. El esta ahorita en TK en una escuela pero la verdad no he tenido buena experiencia en esa escuela y pienso que mi niño aprende mejor conmigo aca en casa. Que tanto me recomiendan esta escuela, aun estoy un poco confundida si ponerlo en homeschool(online), o no. Por eso me gustaria saber que me recomiendan. Gracias

I could not have asked for a better elementary school experience for my kids. High academic standards paired with a caring, fun and engaging environment made this school close to perfect. The teachers worked well together in supporting kids of all levels and provided experiences these kids will carry for a lifetime. High parent involvement created a wonderful community! Now that my kids are in middle school, I can see how well prepared they were in elementary.

Linda Vista is a good school. All of my kids received a great base at LV. My concern is this; the teachers. The teachers at this school 'buddy up' with parents and create teacher/parent cliques. They have their favorite parents and that translates to favorite students. I would rather see them do their jobs and make friends outside of the school; in my opinion, that would be doing a better service to the families of LV. Also, it would be nice to see some fresh faces at LV. Smiles and happiness from teachers is very uplifting for kids. Most of these teachers are burned out... good at their job but I would say just done with the profession as a whole.
