Toyon Middle School

What education? Teachers are absent more than they teach and after just one year of attending, my student is far behind their grade-level. Bullies are verbally and physically violent and staff does NOTHING. My child was punched, choked, and spat on for being LGBT and when I brought the issue to the principal and VP, absolutely nothing was done. I was ignored. Not to mention that the bus LOST my child and made them exit at the wrong stop SEVEN times in one year. The principal also had nothing to say about that. I guess they forgot that the school is responsible for the safety of my child until they arrive home.

The kids go out of their way to be the biggest jerks possible, some of the teachers have bad teaching habits, i consider myself of average intelligence and often get bored with the school presenting zero challenge and not helping me learn. The vice principal exaggerates what I do if I get in trouble. There are only a couple worthwhile electives I can think of (robotics, art) and I find my opinions being suppressed. I hope this helps. If you are looking for a good school I recommend the private school mountain oaks in the nearby town of San Andreas.

The lockdowns have exposed every weakness of the Administration and Staff. They're absolutely incapable of keeping in touch with parents, answering questions about grades or homework, etc. If you live in this District be aware your children's education will suffer and you will be left mostly in the dark about your kids progress. The District Administration spends about 30% more "on the student" but it has no impact on grades, test score, or even character development you see in other districts except inner-city schools.

Bullies are a terrible problem. The administration does not protect the children who are bullied and actually punishes them for defending themselves. The principal and VP don care for the children. And the office staff is incredibly rude to students and parents alike!

This was the best middle school I've attended so far I miss it so much. I wish I could have done both years Ms.Hasslewander (sorry if I spelt that incorrectly) was an incredibly helpful principal. I miss all my teachers. Special Shout out to Ms.Rikkers (7th grade science) and Mrs.Cardon (7th grade math) I miss you guys you were my favorite teachers.
