Read what parents are saying about Tree Of Life Charter SchoolTree of Life has been wonderful for both of my children. The staff know ALL the students. Kids can excel in a subject if they are able or want to. They can also easily get extra help if they need it- during class or afterschool. The new free lunch program is awesome! My son loves the food! Whole foods, not out of a package! They have been making lots of improvements to the site. I love this community!
Posted by a parent on 10/12/2022The teachers are great and most importantly, my kids love to go to school every day.
Posted by a parent on 3/29/2022One of my children graduated from Tree of Life, went on to graduate from Ukiah High School first in their class, and then to the honors program at a big prominent UC. Another of my children is still a student and enjoys learning. The children in the class are all friends and the staff are very caring. The Montessori curriculum is well rounded and the work is rigorous. They do a lot of social emotional learning with the students. The parents are welcomed into the community and encouraged to take part in decisions that affect the school.
Posted by a parent on 1/9/2022Tree of Life has a welcoming, nurturing school environment. Steeped in the Montessori Method, Tree of Life's excellent teachers guide students in independent, hands-on learning that has met the differing needs of both of my children. They are both genuinely excited to go to school each day and continue to learn. This program is one of the few charter Montessori schools available and we are fortunate to have it in Ukiah. My kids transferred to the school during COVID times and were welcomed as they were academically and socially and have each found a sweet group of friends. The administration and staff at this school has been wonderful.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student in Oak Manor, and yes I was bullied but then the teachers stood up for me and they treated me like their daughter. Now I am an 8th grader, and I still look back to the school and remember the memories with amazing teachers who helped me a lot.Student Review6y ago - Yokayo Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNow that my child is at a high performing school I can really see the difference. Yokayo teachers have so many discipline issues with children in their classes they can't teach as well as I'm sure they would like. The main thing my child mentions now is how nice all the other children are at the new school and how there aren't any bullies. My child loves going to school now and is doing well academically. Yokayo is in Ukiah which has a huge drug and homeless problem, so the schools aren't going to be great. The teachers are good, but just too many discipline problems with too many children. It takes up a lot of their valuable teaching time. I'm glad my child is now at a school where parents really parent, so the children are behaved and teachers can really teach. Yokayo always felt like it was on survival mode. Tough.Parent Review8y ago - Orr Creek School
