My daughter has attended Beswick from 1st to now 3rd grade. We have never had an issue with bullying and the teachers have been wonderful.

There is no type of leadership in this school. My child was in kinder in Mary Murphy's class. My child was physically bullied not once did I hear a concern from Mary. I saw a kid shove my child in front of Mary. Mary did nothing nor did she discipline the rotten kid. This same kid happens to be white, my child came home from school with chocolate milk all over her clothes. My child explained to me it was the same kid that shoved her & she had done it on purpose. The teacher assistant saw, spoke to the rotten kid, informed Mary but Mary did nothing. I was not informed and would have known if my child had not told me. When getting the principal involved Ashley McNamara, she told me it was my child's perspective & how my child perceived the incidents. This school will invalidate your child & chalk up to their imagination. When asked about my child's behavior, I was told my child gets along with everyone but I already knew this. I wanted to make sure my child was not instigating or being the perpetrator. Both Mary's and Ashley's behavior are complicit in creating the perfect environment for bad kids with unstable homes to wreak havoc at school. Beswick says they are no tolerance for bullying but its not true not once did I see them take the appropriate actions disciplining the bad kids. Another example, I can share of incompetence is when my child was remote, she keenly made an observation and Mary lashed out on her because she could not distinguish the difference between an honest observation vs a kindergartener being petty & coming for Mary's drawing. As a teacher I would think she would have the sound knowledge of knowing five year olds are honest and say it as it is. Do not take it personal. From someone who loved to remind me how long she has been teaching for many years, I would think this would be pretty obvious. I have respect for Teachers, I do not respective passive aggressive behavior. I reached out to Mary for info of our parent/teacher conference, when asking her when it was scheduled for she said I don't care. She's passive aggressive and incompetent, the worst combination. Do not send your child/children here.

Please Please send your kids to another school! Mostly everyone speaks spanish. There is lack of support for kids that are NOT hispanic. My child has been bullied to the point he does not want to return to school. The school and the surrounding area is not safe. there is lack of guidance on homework and assignments.

Concerned Parent. My child has been going to Berwick for 3 years and every year something is stolen with my child the( backpack ,a lunch pail ,a sweater). The principal is more concern with being a friend not a principle and he has no control over the school. The staff is more concerned with gossip then helping you. They have adults that are not teachers or aids that run the school. They do have some teachers that are really good.
