St. Paschal Baylon Elementary School

This is an extremely difficult review to write because our family was once proud to be part of the Hillcrest Christian community. Unfortunately, what we have witnessed over time is not a temporary setback, but a sustained and troubling decline.The school is now marked by significant staff turnover, longstanding vacancies, and ongoing instability. Leadership at both the administrative and board levels appears ineffective and, at times, self-serving, with little evidence of accountability or a clear plan for recovery. Promises are made but not followed through, eroding trust with families.What is most disheartening is the shift in culture. A school that once emphasized faith, character, and community now feels inconsistent in its values, with poor communication and an environment that is not always supportive or aligned with its stated mission.We cannot recommend this school in its current state. For prospective families, caution is warranted. Meaningful, demonstrable changes in leadership, governance, and culture would be necessary before confidence could be restored.

Bethany encourages and cultivates a community that truly feels like a second family. The teachers and staff not only provide a variety of opportunities for learning, but nurture the students academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. There is an abundance of opportunity for parent involvement, and the administration makes it a joy to participate in school events. Our family cannot recommend Bethany Christian School highly enough!
