Carden School Of Tehachapi

My children have done well at Tompkins. We have had some incredible teachers, specifically Mrs. Carrasco, Mrs. Li, Mrs. Akins, Mrs. Butler, and Mrs. De Iulio. All of these have gone above and beyond to provide an engaging and rewarding school experience for my kids. There are also plenty of fun events that get my kids excited (rallies, talent show, class play, color run, battle of books, field trips, Easter egg hunt, carnival-like events throughout the year) a lot of school pride, and a wonderful librarian. My only complaints are that the yard duties are overzealous and the parking situation at pickup is chaotic. There are clear places to park and a drive-through area, but it isn’t well-enforced; people park in fire lanes, block traffic, jaywalk, etc. Overall, we have really loved Tompkins and the pride that the teachers and staff have in their school shows.

My two children have attended Golden Hills since we moved to Tehachapi a few years ago. Both have loved their teachers and are thriving. The office staff, administrators, and other staff are welcoming and really care about the students. The school and teachers have good communication. I like the school events, like the science fair, music performances, family math night, and movie nights.

Heritage Oak School has been an excellent education partner after transitioning from home schooling. The staff is amazing; they know every child and family very well and go beyond to help. They reinforce the values we teach at home and it is evident through my children's knowledge of the bible, respect for others, manners and work ethic. We feel part of a strong community and my kids say they would like to continue through high school graduation.
