Read what parents are saying about Alexander Hamilton Elementary SchoolTerrible! As a parent who advocate for her children I know that the school has obligations to meet when it comes to the students, on the same note I know parents have responsibilities too. But while parents concerns fall on deaf ears I will take it as far as I need to to see that my child is safe and that the teacher receives the support they need as well.
Posted by a parent on 10/15/2018I have two children that attend this school one is in the second grade one is in the 8th grade. My son started kindergarten there and after only the second week they told us that our son was not ready for it and that we had to take him out of school and wait until next year. The next year we put him in school for kindergarten and then ended up dumping him up to the first grade after three weeks into school and didn't notify us of anything we found out when our son came home from school one day and told us. He has ADD and it seems like the teachers at the school do not know how to handle children at all whatsoever. Every night you comes home with homework it feels like I have homework also I'm wondering what these teachers are doing because there are obviously not teaching our children. My son learns more with me when I do homework with him at night then he does he goes to school where he supposed to be doing all of his learning. There are new and different teachers every year at the school the office staff is rude the vice principal is rude. They act like they care but really they just brush off whatever problems you have or concerns that you have with your kids.
Posted by a parent on 10/23/2014School has a very high teacher turnover rate. My nephews have attended this k-8 school for the past 3 years and it seems like half the staff is new every year. Seems unstable to me.

Not a very organized school, needs new office staff and much more focus on the students.

We have seen that year after year the staff has been more than involved with the children. They have great incentives for the children to continue to better their education. This is why I did everything possible to enroll my own kids now 10 and 8yrs old at King School. They have been honor roll students from day one. Something that did not happen when they attended a couple other schools nearby.Parent Review10y ago - McKinley Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school seems to get terrible every year. this new school year 2013-2014 for the 1st graders is going to be terrible since theres inky one class. yes 1 teacher and over 30 students.. really thinking of changing my son to another school.. i went to the office and ask was was going on and the responce was that since therent wasnt enough students the district took one of teh teachers to another school that really needs a teacher.. and that it might get worse it might happen later on with every single grade. so that makes me thing so what students in this school arent enought to be educated the same way like others in others school like please i remember when i was in school it would be no more than 24 or 26 per class. to me what they are doing is trying to save up a salary and mean while our kids struggle and i dislike the fact that parents compliant to each other but dont even do nothing about it.. and its sad because we are there parents and we want the best for our and any other children any where. very sad and dissapontedParent Review10y ago - Van Buren Elementary School
