We provide a safe, loving and stimulating learning environment where children are encouraged to thrive intellectually, morally, and spiritually for students Preschool thru 8th Grade. We have a low teacher student ratio of 1 teacher to 12 or fewer students per class. Teachers are much more available to give more individualized support for each child. We are an accredited school from both the Accreditation Commission for Schools Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASCh and the Association of Christian School International (ACSI) .We offer support services for struggling students. We also offer creative supports in the performing arts & music.We have a very diverse and inclusive community atmosphere between the parents and staff. Our School Board actively oversees the operations . Hillside Christian Academy has a developing School site Council consisting off all Parents, Staff, Board members and even upper elementary students!.

Our child went to this school for two years from 3-5 years old. He had three teachers (one of the teachers left in the middle of the year)Pros: The facilities are decent, with plenty of space for kids to run outdoors. The classrooms are also large and there is an auditorium area for kids to play in on rainy days.They have an after school program with extended hours which is very convenient for working parents.Drop off and pick up is very flexible and easy.Cons: Some teachers aren't that great and there is clear favoritism displayed by some teachers. The first teacher our child had was great! The other two not so much. One of the teachers even called us "an idiot" when they accidentally texted us a private message.Even though they claim they tailor education to the child's level, in practice, this was not the case. Our child was reading at a 1st grade level at 4yo and even though we flagged it to the school administration and teacher they continue to teach him the alphabets (and even marked him as "Meets expectations" in his report cards)There is absolutely no communication from the teachers about how your child is doing even after multiple requests for information.The school administrator is very condescending and disrespectful and nepotism runs rampant in the school with their family members getting special treatment over everyone else.Their after school program often consist of mixed age groups and the teachers just play videos / TVs most of the times.We had issues where other kids would curse/hit our child and the teacher would not even mention this to us. We had to hear from our child and they only acknowledged it when we brought it up to the teachers.
