Blue Hills Elementary School

My children have been going to Sacred Heart School since Junior Kindergarten. They are now in 7th and 4th grade. I cannot say how thankful my family is that we have found this school and community. The Principal, Staff and Teachers really care about each student and family. The academics is terrific. Teachers communicate with parents on a regular basis and as needed. Teachers take the time to communicate with parents as needed and respond to concerns well. I feel my kids are very safe when they are at school. The communication during power outages, etc. are great so I always feel they are taken care of. This was especially important to me when my kids were younger. There is a Mental Health Counselor on campus to support students social-emotional needs. The teachers are really great with communicating with parents about individual needs too. There are a wide variety of after school programs such as robotics, chess, speech and debate, piano, choir, volleyball, basketball, flag football, soccer and track. There are family/school gatherings through the year such as movie night, school dance, Multicultural Fair, Talent Show and more. Our family belongs to Sacred Heart Parish. It is a wonderful community and the the church and school support one another. The Priest gives meaningful homilies every week. My kids have many friends who are not Catholic but still feel part of the community. My kids have a wonderful group of friends and our family appreciates their families. They are happy and have a strong sense of belonging. We are grateful our children are growing up at Sacred Heart.
