We love being part of the Coleman community!! The parents, the teachers, the administrators and support staff...everyone is continuously working together to make it an enriching academic experience for all of the kids who attend.

Palacito has great energy and is very supportive and caring all the teachers I have encountered have been exceptionally good I highly recommend the school

My daughter was very fortunate to spend several years attending Star Academy. It gave her the support and foundation she needed to be successful afterwards in a large public high school. What was really impressive and helpful about Star's program was the 1:1 work with specialists - the secret sauce of the program - AND all the support she ALSO had in the classroom. The teachers and specialists were very competent (important to me) and VERY kind, nurturing, and supportive (important to her). I am indebted to the program and staff.

As a parent with more than one child at Mark Day School, what continues to stand out most is how deeply the school truly knows each student. Beyond academics, teachers take the time to understand who children are—their strengths, challenges, interests, and values—and help them discover how they want to contribute to the world around them.So much of school evaluation today is reduced to test scores and narrow metrics. Mark Day looks past those basics and focuses on something far more meaningful: developing thoughtful, reflective, engaged humans. The culture encourages students to think critically, speak confidently, and act with empathy and purpose. Public speaking, collaboration, and self-awareness are woven naturally into daily life, not treated as add-ons.The result is a community of children who are not only capable learners, but genuinely wonderful people—curious, grounded, and a joy to be around. Mark Day has a rare ability to shape students who will contribute to society in meaningful, positive ways, and as a parent, that gives me tremendous confidence in the education my children are receiving.

Really great academics, amazing community with lots of events and good connections. Just a warm place overall, supportive and kind teachers, outgoing and friendly students, fair and accommodative administrators. Holidays are a blast, there's lots of food and well wishes, you don't need to be Jewish to feel like a part of everything and there is no way to really tell who is or isn't. The Maker's Lab is awesome, the music program is also fantastic, and for a small school they do pretty well for sports and more importantly they really teach your kid to love the game.
