Read what parents are saying about Montessori De Terra LindaMy family is in our 8th year at this school and we can not say enough great things about MdTL. The teachers, staff and administration have definitely made a positive impact on our children. My children take the social grace and courtesy with them where ever they go. I am frequently approached at restaurants and complemented on their behavior. I also love that my kids are not afraid to ask questions. Montessori has definitely sparked the inquisitive part of them. They are frequently the first to raise their hands when on a tour. My children truly love to learn.
Posted by a parent on 8/25/2017This school is truly a diamond in the rough! We have 2 children here and we cannot say enough good things about our experience at MdTL. I am convinced that there is not another group of teachers in this county that care more about their students. My children love going to school and are so confident because of this program. In addition, my 4 year old is so far ahead of other kids her age due to the excellent academic program here. The children are taught to be respectful of everyone and it really stands out on the playground. This is an amazing school!
Posted by a parent on 3/12/2015My son has attended MdTL since he was 2 in the pre-primary classroom. The pre-primary teacher is legendary - my son learned early on to take pride in being a "big boy" and I saw him grow into a confident 3 year old by the end of the school year. My son is now in primary as a first year getting ready to move onto 2nd year (age 3-4) and he really enjoys being able to work with the bigger kids and is looking forward to showing helping the new kids next year. We've had our typical trials for his age, but I feel that I have gotten so much support as a single parent from staff as well as other parents. I can't say enough about the school community - a big part of the reason I signed my son up here. I have also been so impressed with the Montessori way of teaching. My son is really finding his own voice already at such a young age. I highly recommend this school and am so very pleased my son has this opportunity to learn in a way I never got to.
Posted by a parent on 5/23/2012Witnessing the peacefulness in which the children move about MdTL's classrooms and the respect that they are taught for each other, for nature, and for the objects within their environment is like nothing I ve ever seen before. Beyond the special little" Pre-primary room where children can begin their Montessori journey is a whole new world of intriguing material within the three Primary classrooms. These pre-K/K classes are mixed in age and allow the older children to gain confidence while mentoring their peers, in turn allowing younger children to feel comfortable around the big kids . Having the ability to delve into their daily work and see their efforts through to completion without interruption is a learning style which my husband and I have truly come to appreciate. It creates an ability to focus, to pay great attention to detail, and to become truly passionate about learning. In a nutshell, the sense of respect our children have gained for their world & the confidence that they have developed as individuals at such a young age will undoubtedly help them to make good decisions as they move into adulthood. What more could a parent ask for? We LOVE our school!

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIncredible school, with fabulous teachers, support staff, and leadership. Wonderful learning environment, safe, and collaborative, and I am deeply appreciative of all who give 100% to the children. Top to bottom, EXCELLENT SCHOOL!! Having said that, there are a few parents who seem to have "perspectives" I do not agree with. A little on the entitled side of the fence, I believe.Other Review9mo ago - Vallecito Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVallecito ROCKS! Don't let the 6/10 rating fool you. Every school in Marin with racial diversity and ESL students will have lower rates than the white-and-rich school districts (like what you find in Mill Valley or Corte Madera), it is just the way it is. Vallecito is a safe space for all, and has a lot of experienced and caring teachers, as well as involved volunteer parents. Our two kids are thriving here! The principal Mrs. Foehr is a wonderful professional and human being. This is a warm, inclusive, caring community. Through their 'Can Do' family donation campaign they are able to offer Art and Music and so much more. We couldn't have asked for a better school & community <3Parent Review1mo ago - Mulberry Classroom

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter was very fortunate to spend several years attending Star Academy. It gave her the support and foundation she needed to be successful afterwards in a large public high school. What was really impressive and helpful about Star's program was the 1:1 work with specialists - the secret sauce of the program - AND all the support she ALSO had in the classroom. The teachers and specialists were very competent (important to me) and VERY kind, nurturing, and supportive (important to her). I am indebted to the program and staff.Parent Review12y ago - St. Isabella School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have three children who have either attended or are currently attending. My children receive(d) a well-rounded curriculum and solid education to help prepare them for highschool and beyond. When they started at Saint Isabella's, they jumped in from a different school and fit in immediately both socially and academically. The teachers are very caring, a good balance of strictness and nurturing. I am happy that my children were brought up in a Catholic school that provides spiritual enrichment daily. They learned about their faith and how to apply that to their lives. Aside, from standard curriculum, Saint Isabella dedicates time for my children to learn a second language, art, PE, music, library, and religion as well as after school enrichment classes and clubs. And as parents, my husband and I have enjoyed becoming friends with other parents. The school has definitely fostered a feeling of family within the school community.Parent Review2y ago - Mark Day School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMark Day School is a community where your student feels heard, where teachers and peers listen and where your student can explore new ideas, accelerate at his/her own pace as well as work together closely in diverse groups to find solutions to projects. Students are eager to learn and are respectful of each other here. It is evident in the school assemblies, in the hallways and in the community. Students are getting a very strong well thought out academic program and we feel that our student is in very capable hands. We can see our own son blossoming in front of our very eyes. As a family we are so happy to be a part of this supportive community and feel thrilled to have such capable, thoughtful, kind and visionary faculty, staff and administration.Parent Review5y ago - Timothy Murphy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo unprofessional!!! The school discriminate against families and I’m not the first family to say that. They charge registration fee and then They evaluate the application and decide if your kid qualifies to go to their school or not. The reason for my son disqualified was that he will overwhelm 30 preschoolers and he need to go to smaller environment which is so ridiculous without evaluating the kid himself, I mean think about it, how they can decide what your kid needs. They don’t even bother calling you about their decision and keep you waiting on them. It shows that they pick families and this is discrimination. I will never send my son to such an unprofessional school.Parent Review1mo ago
