Staff is stretched to the limit, doesn't have time to discuss things with parents. It is hard to know who to talk to if you need help. Your child will not get an individualized education as promised. During my last year in Carrillo we had gotten 0 homework assignments, and while this seems nice for a lot of students during that time, it is horrible when you get into middle school as you will be unprepared for the amount of homework that is given. Most of the students there were also the least respectful people you could ever meet, if you want your child to be bullied and left out then this school is perfect for you. The only good thing about this school I can even think of is how some of the teachers were nice, but I don’t even know if they teach here anymore. I wasn’t pressured to get work done, they gave me room to do work at my own pace while still holding me accountable. The work was challenging but nothing that was overwhelming. They also have plenty of fun clubs and activities besides just school work. They also have bible and Jesus oriented classes (New testament, Old Testament, Church history classes, etc.) that were done well. In first grade they suspended him as much as three days at a time. It turns out he's very gifted and since leaving.The school works three grades above his level.
