When my Children first started to attend school here I thought it was a great school. The teachers here are pretty amazing just depends on which one your child gets.The principal use to be good but now I don’t know what’s going on with him. He really doesn’t do much if your child is getting bullied, he rather have your child get bullied than someone else’s. This year I’ve been experiencing exhausting situation from my child getting bullied by not just another student but by adults as well and no one in that school doing anything about it. The principal here makes so much excuses it’s ridiculous.

The school is ok. My daughter is enrolled in kindergarten. Pros: she is making friends and there have not been any social issues. She’s very safe and all teachers/staff are kind. Cons: she has regressed in math and reading. There’s no way to meaningfully progress kids who are advanced when so many peers are behind, so my daughter is largely ignored. She’s so bored and drags her feet to go to school everyday. We’re looking at options. We’ve talked to the teacher but understand that there’s only so much she can do.

My kids have had a great educational and social experience at Cadwallader. Both K teachers are kind, structured, and effective educators. The PTA and many parents are all about building community through the school, which makes for a very familial vibe. The principal is available, receptive to feedback, and involved in the details of every classroom as needed. In amazing to see the lengths the staff goes to to lift every kid to their highest potential.

I’m very disappointed with the overall leadership at Tom Matsumoto Elementary School under Principal Gokcen Ceran.There is a clear pattern of poor communication, lack of follow-through, and failure to address serious concerns in a meaningful way. Issues are acknowledged but not resolved, and families are often left without answers or support. It creates an environment that feels disorganized and reactive instead of student-focused.Strong leadership sets the tone for a school, and unfortunately that is lacking here. When concerns about safety, access to instruction, and basic accountability are not handled effectively, it impacts the entire school community.At this point, it’s hard to see how things will improve without a significant change in leadership. The school community deserves better direction, transparency, and accountability than what is currently being provided.

JFS has a nice, clean, updated campus. Great administrators and teachers. So far my daughter's teachers are doing a great job with her education. As a 1st grader, she is able to read above grade level. She learning math, writing, and science daily. Also has adequate outside play. The school has a strong PTA and wonderful events.
