Every teacher (aside from one who is about to retire) were amazing teachers, especially Ms. Burguillos if you are blessed enough to have her! Because of lack of funding, in general for CA schools, the parents really really put their time/effort/money to make this school great. The extra activities they have such as dance, art vista, and physical ed was a plus. coming from a not so good school district, you really don't know what you have unless you experienced worse (which my daughter did before coming here in 2nd grade). They are also really quick on making sure kids get tested if they think there might be a problem which I was grateful for... they tested my daughter for a lisp to make sure he didn't need speech therapy but it ended up only being because her teeth were out but shocked how efficient and caring they were to make sure!
Posted by a parent on 11/25/2023Both my children attended this school from K-5 and their experience and development over the years was excellent. They were extremely prepared for middle school and continued to achieve top grades, love to learn and be independent with their studies. What I appreciate most is that my children were taught to own their efforts to continue to succeed and this has stuck with them as they grow. I also love the extra music and dance programs that the parent teacher association provided which exposed my children to a wider range of learning.
Posted by a parent on 9/27/2023The school is awesome, from teachers to staff. Kids learning is good and teacher are friendly. The only problem is the safety sometimes and the cleanliness of restrooms but other than that this school I would recommend

It’s great if: you’re white, you want your kids to have an education akin to what we received 30+ years ago, you love cliques and cliquey groups, you’re averse to any kind of change or advancement, you believe you’re a good person based on the fact that you walk into a church every week, you act horribly toward others but then justify it based on previous point, you like to live in a bubble that excludes the rest of society, you want a school that allows bullies to continue as though nothing happened, and you want a principal who does little to get to know the students and doesn’t respond to emails.Parent Review11mo ago - Mulberry School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children have attended Mulberry for the past two years and are going into 3rd and 4th grades for the 2019-2020 school year. We have thoroughly enjoyed watching the social and emotional growth take place with our kids and have been able to experience the magic of Mulberry time and time again. Whether it's the sheer joy seen on their faces by watching their seeds grow or working in the garden, cooking exotic foods in the kitchen, coming home head-to-toe with an exuberant school project ( these kids get messy and they love it!) , or the incredible field trips to Hidden Villa, Tall Ships, Cal Academy of Sciences, and everywhere else the teachers can think of to incorporate their thematic instruction. The small class sizes allow for a very intimate bond to take place between teacher, student, and extended family. Everyone will love your child at Mulberry because, as a parent participation school, we are all invested in the ultimate success of all of the children. I fully encourage anyone reading these reviews and considering Mulberry to check their website calendar and look for an open house opportunity. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLGCS is an excellent school! We have been there for six years, since Jr. Kindergarten. The teachers are loving, the classes are small, and we have the best component - it's a faith-based school. The campus is gorgeous. If you are a curriculum-focused parent, LGCS is also a great school that teaches Syngaporian Math; there are lots of reading and exciting STEM projects. The school is now focusing on sports too - which was much needed. We have been through multiple locations of the school and more recently through the online school. Champion School is second to none when it comes to academics. They have a system that focuses on this while reducing the overall load on the student and parents.Champion's online school has been a life saver during the pandemic and continues to help save a lot of time for both students and the parents.Overall, in our experience of 8+ years, Champion gets an A+.
