Read what parents are saying about Options for Youth San Gabriel SchoolI went to this school for since the 8th grade. I ended up being a graduate from this school. The school is all about discipline and taking the time to do your work and not complete the minimum amount of work per month and trust me that's not easy. When I hear options for youth come up in a conversation people always are quick to speak saying that it is the "easy way out of high school" and "it's not hard work". Honestly it was the most challenging school that I have ever been to. I am now attending college and it feels like a breeze to complete my homework assignments. When I ask my friends also attending college how they feel about college homework they complain that it's too much work not enough time. Options for you prepared me for college and I think that's why I haven't struggled in college at all and I have received all A's in my classes. As long as you have the right teachers to help you and guide you through everything. If it wasn't for Angel and Giselle I wouldn't have graduated.

Posted by a parent on 5/11/2014I went to OFY-SG throughout most of highschool. It was perfect for my learning style. Graduated in 2 years and I now attend Cal Poly Pomona. It's not just for "at risk" students. As in my case, OFY may be the right option for some students who are tired and bored of traditional schooling.
Posted by a community member on 11/3/2012This school is not for University bound students, but it does help those who need to make up credits. The teachers at the Chino 2 center are AMAZING! I would definitely enroll your child at that center if you can. Mrs. Portillo is okay. She seems to be on a kind of power trip, yet does not handle issues in a responsible manner.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son enrolled at age three. The Director is very professional - she answers all questions and takes parent concerns seriously. She is also very accommodating and makes you feel valued at the school. Ms. Terry was our son’s teacher and she is excellent. Our son warmed up to her right away, and always had positive things to say about his time in her classroom. Ms. Terry is patient, loving, and reinforces the academics at an appropriate level for the little ones. We have so enjoyed Angel’s Montessori and consider it a privilege to have had our son attend. We highly recommend!Parent Review1y ago - Emmaus Lutheran

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy two children have attended Emmaus since preschool and are now entering 4th grade! Emmaus provides strong academics while meeting the needs of each child individually. My son struggles with emotional outbursts, and the teachers have been able to work with him and modify for him which I am forever grateful for! My daughter struggled with learning to read, but the teachers inspired her and encouraged her and now she reads above grade level. As Christians, my husband and I value Christian education in today's world more than ever--our kids sing praise songs, read their Bibles, lead prayer time, and know the Bible stories front and back! I love the joy and faith they have found through Jesus and we have Emmaus to thank for that faith foundation. I am also so happy about how they can participate in sports, drama, and music while attending Emmaus, and I can't wait for them to experience more as they head to the upper grades. Emmaus is a family--all the parents and students get to know each other because of the small class sizes and the overall community. The principal, teachers, and staff really love all the students, and we love them!Parent Review10mo ago - Kodomo No Ie of First United Methodist Church of S
