Canyon View School

We were big supporters of this school until recent changes in leadership. We have spent many years on this campus as our older children thrived here. As much as we wanted the same for our younger children, it seems they have hired a principal who frankly doesn't seem to care about the parent's concerns or the overall future of the school. Any concern that a parent bring to her are swept under the rug. If you have concerns including bullying -don't say anything. She will not adress it and then worse, avoid the parents. Parents have brought concerns to the priest but the principal will hide behind her words saying she's "never heard this before". The principal seems to think parents don't communicate but we all know -she's not the right fit for this school. We are highly disappointed. Most of the teachers are wonderful. Junior high math is not. Again, the principal is aware - does nothing.

Arrow Montessori School of San Dimas is a great school that provides a loving, enriching, safe environment for children. All three of my children have thrived attending the school!!!

I can only speak to the pre-K and lower elementary program at this point. In my experience, the academic rigor and teaching methods/quality haven’t quite met the expectations typically associated with private education. It certainly poses a challenge when the local public schools are also strong academically and offer comparable class sizes. The school has high enrollment, which seems to be both a strength and a challenge for the school and the size of the school. That said, they do offer a wide range of opportunities for students. It’s a great school as far as the religious teaching aspect and parental involvement. I do wish there was more emphasis on mastery of concepts rather than teaching to test. The new principal change seems to be good however there are definitely changes we’d like to see to improve the school academically and positive environment wise.
