He has had the same teacher for the past two years who calls almost every morning to check up on him and see how things are going. Whenever he has troubles, he is able to have an instant chat with any of the online teachers. They have been great.

The school has a poor academic reputation and doesn’t feel as nurturing as it claims. There’s little transparency around fundraising, and safety is a real issue, with reports of bullying, racism, and even unhoused individuals on campus. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son went to this school from age 4 to 8 and our daughter has been going from age 3 to now (almost 7). We plan to keep her at MSSD through 1st or 2nd grade before she ages out and we go to our neighborhood public school. We have been absolutely thrilled with the level of care and quality of education at this school that we have seen since Fall 2018 through Spring 2025 and have nothing but positive things to say.
