My family struggled when Ms.Amanda was running the school. She has thankfully retired, giving Birney a new start to become the school it's students deserve. We are hopeful for positive changes and collaborative problem solving going forward. Our teacher this year is outstanding. We loved our teacher
Posted by a parent on 8/18/2024Ms. Amanda’s leadership leaves much to be desired. The school suffers from a lack of trust, ineffective meetings, and complacency. Parents are dissatisfied, and students deserve better. A change in leadership is overdue.

Posted by a parent on 1/28/2020Birney is a unique school with its IB curriculum and its wide array of students from various backgrounds. There are many ways to connect with other parents through school festivals and fundraisers. Wish the principal was friendlier. Overall, a great school.

The main office ES is very rude and unprofessional about her job. They are not here to help but to give opinions thats it. I sopke to her about situations with my sibling and she was saying that i was wrong. Did not let me speak to principal and didnt eve. Set up a meeting for me. Excellent staff, excellent parent involvement. It is amazing how much effort the admin, staff, and parents put in to make this school even extra special. There can’t be enough said about how special this school is. Every person I talk to about their kindergarten class says their child came out above and beyond peers in public programs.
