Posted by a parent on 9/20/2019Beatty is a wonderful school. The parking situation could be better. However, academically it's by far the best school.
Posted by a parent on 5/29/2018I have volunteered at this school because of a Community event the principal was hosting. The level of care the principal shows to all of her students shows to those of us who volunteer in the district. Her approach to negative, combative parents is very cool-headed and mature which is what you need in this day when people use violence to solve problems involving 5-year old children and their teachers. Some people may want "instant results" and they think that their children should be more important than all others. As a non-parent at this school, I can truly say Mrs Hall interacts with the most aggressive, negative parents I have seen in any of the other schools I've helped at and she does it with class and maturity.
Posted by a community member on 3/1/2018Parents are deliberately excluded from participating in child's education. Extremely racially biased teachers and principal. Hispanic children are not given equal opportunity to succeed.
Posted by a parent on 7/18/2017Cannot stand this school. The principal Miss Hill is ridiculous. She absolutely stinks at handling school issues. Her staff of "watchmen" treat the students like prisoners, they are not allowed to do anything. If they do then they are immediately written up and unjustly punished by Miss Saenz, who I may say has over stepped her boundaries many times!!Some of the teachers here are absolutely great, then there are others that make examples out of students, knocking them down for every little thing. My son is only in first grade and is already losing his love for school because he is so scared to do any little thing wrong. This school needs to focus on bettering their academics for the students, not ruining their desire for school and learning by scaring them into imprisoned robots

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is behind in education. After transferring to RUSD, my son struggled to keep up with the rest of the students. I regret keeping him at Ina for 5 years. He was one of the top in his class at Ina and now he needs extra tutoring. His new Riverside teacher said that he has 3rd grade education. He is in 5th. I do not recommend this school.Parent Review8y ago - West Riverside Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school changed a lot in recent years. I know that the pandemic affected many schools. I heard that after schools reopened this school lost almost 40% of their student body. Before the pandemic there were a lot of community activities (after school classes, Friday events that included parents, and musical performances). Those have all stopped during the past few years (2021-2023). I understand it is hard to ramp those things back up. More concerning to me is that my child’s classroom this past year seemed pretty out of control. She would tell me stories about kids who were acting out, cursing out the principal and things like that. Again, I realize that some of these might be global problems due to schools closing and causing developmental problems for kids. But overall, it seems like a different school than it was 5 years ago.Parent Review8mo ago - Fremont Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnfortunately, this school has been closed permanently. My child attended before we moved and loved this school. Unfortunately, it was attempted to expand this school too fast without sufficient and steady levels of enrollment and finances. It makes me sad that this school is no more, it was a little gem among many mediocre schools in Riverside.Parent Review7y ago - St. Francis De Sales School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe've had a really great experience at St Francis. We are new this year and have received a warm welcome, and our kids are doing great and really enjoy attending, the teachers and admins have been nothing short of exceptional. One of my sons goes to speech therapy and they've been very accommodating with his therapies, and when he's struggled in subjects they've offered him tutoring to help. The small class sizes is one of the main reasons I chose this school besides the faith-based learning which aligns with my family's values. If anyone is on the fence about enrolling, I'd encourage them to give it a try. After we toured the school we immediately enrolled and I'm very pleased with our decision to do so.Parent Review1mo ago
