Sheldon Elementary School

Outstanding school. Great principal, teachers and staff. Morale amongst staff is really high and the culture at Sheldon is really positive and accepting. We’ve been so happy having our son here for the past two years.

My daughter transferred here from private school because we identified some learning difficulties that had not been addressed properly, despite years of attempts. First and foremost, the Sheldon Team rallied around my daughter and welcomed her with open arms. They immediately worked to address her identified needs and search out anything that might have been missed.By offering their full support, both in the regular classroom, and through Resource specialists, my daughter has closed a large gap in both reading in math, in one years time. The hard work continues, and I’m confident the Sheldon team has carefully placed some critical building blocks my daughter has been missing in her Elementary education.

Very poor. Teachers encourage cheating. Staff are not trained to recognize when a child is in distress. My child had a concussion and no one knew it called me. I've been trying to place my child somewhere else and may have to resort to private options since I seem to get assigned only to problem schools.

We had a FANTASTIC 2014-2015 year with Ms.Barb as our daughters TK teacher. She is the most patient, kind, loving, happy teacher have come accross in the WCCUSD! Our daughter is now in Kinder and we just love Sheldon! Can't wait to see what 2015/2016 brings us!
