My son attended his Pre-K year here, and is now in kindergarten. I feel he's at the top of his class, and Leap and Bound prepared him very well academically for kinder. Personally, I didn't like the daily schedule of starting the day with outdoor playtime then going through the academic curriculum f
Posted by a parent on 10/30/2012No way, theres a big woman they use to mind control the children, when misbehaving, and i overheard her using a psychology tactic that a 3 yr old, cannot apply. Nope, not for me. The "writing class" was a mash fake playdoh session, that the consider strengthening of the muscles, and quite frankly, I
Posted by a parent on 9/25/2012We recently moved from Westwood to thr Southbay and were concerned about where our daughter, 3 at the time, would continue her first school experience. I narrowed it down to 2/3 and met with the staff. My husband and I had a great feelng and have not been disappointed. While her teacher, the staff a

We are really happy with the school and the staff is really loving and caring. Their parent volunteer program is also great, it really helped me to get comfort
Posted by a parent on 6/14/2011Leap and Bound has done wonders with my son! He is an extremely picky eater and since they have started the lunch program, the teachers have done an AMAZING job in getting him to try different foods. I have always struggled with his eating habits, but I am so happy that they have taken the time to r

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOnce a great school with a strong, rich history. However, sadly over the last decade it has crumbled. The environment is toxic. The school teachers don’t hold proper credentials and the principal doesn’t either. The principal is rude, manipulative and not a good fit for a Christian school. She works through parents that she favors and gives them financial aide while other families who need the support are denied. The principal uses parents to do her dirty work and rallies them to attend school board meetings to arm wrestle the school board- which is made up of church volunteers. The place is a mess. We withdrew our children. There is never an exit interview to actually share your family’s experience. The parents are cliche and run the school. The school culture is one of prima-donnas and elitists, yet they lack sophistication. As a parent I felt like I was part of a mean girls club and that just is not who I want to be. The principal by far is the head mean girl/queen bee. The place is not safe either. The preschool is small and well run and I would recommend. I think enrollment increased after the pandemic, but is declining as parents recognize this isn’t a healthy school.Parent Review1y ago - St. Lawrence Martyr Elementary School
