Lugonia Elementary School

Sacred Heart Academy provides a safe and loving environment for their students. We chose this school because we wanted to instill in our kids a good Catholic education. The students here are very respectful and are raised in traditional Catholic values. When I hear news about kids bringing weapons in public middle school, I am thankful my kids feel safe at their school. The academics are great, with both kids in advanced math classes. My only regret about SHA is that we didn't start the kids earlier. We joined when they were in third and fourth grades (prior to that they were in public school). Five stars for SHA!

I started going to this school in middle school. It has had a lot of growth since. If I were writing a review then, it wouldn’t be the same. I’ve seen teachers come and go, but I will say that the ones who have been here throughout my education have impacted me positively and helped me through every year. Many of the teachers are willing to work with the students and make the class engaging and fun. The students are amazing at welcoming and greeting every new kid. I will say however, if there is drama, EVERYONE will know, which could be good or bad (this goes for secondary). Bullying and any other incidents are usually handled quickly, and mostly fair. I have loved the community I am surrounded in, and there’s always something to look forward to. I like the games we play every Friday and end of the year, so when things get boring, I can look forward to the end of the week. This school also sticks to the Bible while not making it seem tedious and boring, which makes it enjoyable. Classroom sizes are usually a maximum of about 15 and I would say it’s easy to keep up in most classes. I would recommend. We don’t have prom though!

I don't have enough good things to say about this place and its owners . I had my 3 kids there since 2009 until this last June, 2018, so I dropped off kids for almost 9 years every day! My kids always loved to go there, a lot of days they wanted to stay longer! and I always had the peace of mind that they were very well taken care off, learning and having fun! I think they do a great job balancing academic work with free playing and art. My 3 kids got to kinder garden knowing a lot of things already, more than most kids probably, so they did great in the next stage. The owners are very easy to talk to, always have time to listen and they are just good hearted people, I miss not seeing them in the week! All the teachers did a fantastic job from the little ones to the kinder garden group. All I can say is thank you, thank you so much for being there for us parents and taking such a good care of our babies! Oh did I mention the great Holiday festival every year?? you don't want to miss it!!
