Read what parents are saying about Manzanita Elementary SchoolI am very pleased with this school. I really was wary about sending my son to a public school but now know this was meant for him to be at.

Posted by a parent on 5/2/2018We moved to redding last year. My son was pretty far behind, and we had no previous knowledge of ca kindergarten entrance standards. We were blessed to get mrs. Kikut as his teacher. She is firm, but loving. She was so great with him, and helped us learn his way of learning. He did learned so fast and so much. This school offers a tutor of sorts for kids that need a little extra acadimic help. What a difference that made.
Posted by a parent on 8/9/2014I would definitely have to agree with the other parent about the lack of supervision on the playground. My 2nd grader has come home 4 times in 3 months bleeding or with bruises (one on his face) from other kids attacking him. He's not a troublemaker but he keeps finding himself alone in the field with bullies and no adults around! He says there are noon duties but they all hang out together and don't watch what's going on.
Posted by a parent on 5/2/2013Poor administration and poor supervision on the playground. If I could give negative stars I would.Avoid completely!

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCypress serves some kids who bring more than their share of challenges to school. That affects its test scores and such. I've found the teachers to be uniformly wonderful, very engaged in building relationships with the children. My own kiddos are doing great there. Some Type-A parents we are friends with think we're misguided in choosing Cypress, but we've been very happy with it.Parent Review6y ago - Juniper School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI just transferred my 2nd grader to this school. I have to say Mrs Mathison is a very kind caring teacher. The principal is so positive and easy to talk to. I can't say enough positive things about this school. My son transferred from Cypress and I would recommend all parents to go to Juniper. This school is so much better. Cypress had a very negative approach and the principal was horrible.Parent Review10y ago - Sequoia Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat electives and awesome music program! Also academically challenging and definitely prepared my kids for high school and college! They have honors classes as well, which were what mine needed. The teachers are wonderful and care about their students' success and happiness!Parent Review4y ago - Turtle Bay School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageShocked by some of these negative reviews. Turtle Bay has been nothing short of amazing for my kids. You will not find a better school in the area. The teachers work so hard to make the kids successful and the administration genuinely cares about the students, parents, and staff. Can't say enough good things about the school, the teachers, the office staff, and the principal. Just keep doing what you do Turtle Bay!Parent Review6y ago - Rocky Point Charter School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe grading and reviews on this site initially kept me from considering this school for my daughter. In the end I investigated the open house which showed me a caring staff with great teacher to student rations.I enrolled me daughter and I can't recommend this school enough. Great teachers, so many field trips to stimulate their minds, very caring atmosphere. An afterschool program helping with homework that keeps them until 6 pm, providing snacks.I am so happy I made the choice to send my daughter here. I'm sure if you take a look at this school, you will feel the same.Parent Review5mo ago - St. Joseph

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur kids really love this school. It is more work/money for the average family BUT you see your kids talking about STEM projects, or that they got to read at mass, not to mention how they have improved academically since being there(after the initial catch up to the class period from public school class work which can be a bit tough but worth it). It's a less hectic environment then same grade public school. PLUS my kids do not have to fear being sent to the office for talking about God! So yes there is an investment of parent time and money but if you can pull it IS well worth for kids getting an overall well rounded education.Parent Review6y ago - Mountain Light Preparatory School
