Crestwood Street Elementary School

Great school. The office staff is extremely friendly. The teachers are excellent. Love it here.

My child attended Crestwood for 6 years. I could not have been happier with the school experience or environment. The school's population was small compared to other schools. I think that may have helped the teachers and staff to know the children's names. Teachers were nice and always helpful when I asked how I can help my student. My kid isn't a genius but grades were good and we knew where the struggles were. The school year was cut short because of the pandemic. They pivoted quickly with the online learning to teach the students. Was it perfect? No. In time we all settled in and got the work done. Constant communication through social media, phone calls, text messages, made us feel well informed. Start to finish I am grateful for everything. We weren't the "chasing magnet points'" people. We stayed even though were not a magnet school, YET. They are now! Without hesitation I would recommend Crestwood to anyone.

My son, who was not an easy student to deal with at times, attended Crestwood from 2nd to 5th grade. The kindness and caring from all staff members, in and out of the classroom, was remarkable. When issues arose with my son they were dealt with in a timely manner, fairly, and appropriately. Teachers were in regular contact and administration was helpful and reliable. They viewed my son as an individual, not a number. A great benefit of a smaller school setting. Students are taught to respect themselves and others. Bullying was a very rare occurrence and squashed quickly. As a new magnet, Crestwood is excelling at teaching each child as the wonderful individual that they are. We love Crestwood!

My experience at this school has been very good. Staff in the office have been great, and interactions with teachers have been great.

It was okay . I appreciate the help with speech therapy. But the teachers my sons had seems like they get stuck with the low income students & just don’t care about them . I know forsure this school is way more friendlier to the light skinned people then to people of color . Even though this school is mostly Hispanics.
