Read what parents are saying about Saint Rose Catholic Schoolhad a bad experience at Saint Rose. It's important for schools to maintain professional boundaries and not push their personal beliefs onto students. It's also not okay to make derogatory comments about someone's sexual orientation. It's important to feel safe and supported in your school environment. Which this school follow any of that. (Like a normal school should).
Posted by a community member on 6/8/2023Multiple teachers have called me slurs and constantly use microaggressions against me. No one believes me when I say anything but ask any of my classmates and they'll tell you all they've overheard.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love 2023-2024 year for my child. Focus on reading these last two months is amazing! I have seen so much more improvement with my daughter's reading from the extra learning, out of class. Do recommend if any kids have problems with speech or reading, speak to the teacher for the extra help.I love hearing from other parents, each teacher is different teaching styles and each kid excels in class. Which makes me feel great for future years. PTA is stronger than other campuses. PTA board members, have been helpful in many ways. Plus the Spirit Friday and new this year Spirit Store. Other schools need to have more active parents. To help make a better school for their kids too. Having the engagement lab has been very interactive and helps teachers with their lessons. It's great to hear about their days at the engagement lab.Having the ASES program for after school. Very benefit for parents who work late. There is a Pifer Pledge said at each morning announcement. Today was a special one. These kids have memorized the pledge. Which talks about being kind and more. Pifer shows pride also is seen with he parents this year. You can see more parents are talking to each other. Developing relationship with other parents help with the kids.Parent Review4mo ago - Virginia Peterson Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal at this school has made the lives of many kids and their families a nightmare. Megen Guffey is extremely rigid and focused on the importance of her role and not on supporting the needs of the kids, especially those with special needs, accommodations, or differences. Inflexible and harsh, we found it almost impossible to have a conversation with her about the challenges our child was having in the second year at this school. She kept circling back to the school policy, rules, official procedure, and seemed unable to think creatively about how we might offer additional help for our child while keeping them in school. We know PR is a conservative district, but we still expected at least the principal to be supportive of all differences in a child. While the teachers have been great, the principal even seemed to exhibit bias and prejudice toward a child with gender identity differences in the way she spoke. While discussing our experience with other parents, we heard several similar stories. I hope she is removed from her position and not permitted to work with children any more.Parent Review9mo ago - Paso Robles Independent Study Center
