Redding Christian School

This school is absolutely phenomenal and I believe that many students here have grown so much.

I am 22 years old and I attended this school in 8th grade, I had temporarily moved back to Redding with my dad after living with my mom in Southern California and the whole entire staff treated me terrible, I’ll give 2 examples, while we were doing P.E, I was confused on the rules of the exercise and one of the teachers told me “ I’m not sure how they taught you in Southern California but you aren’t doing anything right” and then when it was my first week there I wasn’t aware of the rules about phones during break and I had my phone out and a teacher came and snatched my phone out of my hands and refused to speak to me when I asked what I did wrong. I’m only writing this because I actually went to this school and even for a short time it was my worst experience in school.

North Cow Creek used to be a great school. For the most part, the teachers are still excellent! The school is small and the community is close. However, in 2015 the principal/ superintendent changed. Now there is a lack of discipline with regard to bullying, a non-existent "hands off" policy, and school safety comes second to public appearance.

We have two of our four kids at RCS, and are SO thankful for this school! Teachers love your kids. They are aware of areas where each child is advanced, as well as needing extra help. The two kids we have at RCS also are two who love to get up and get ready for school. They are socially and academically developing at a pace that my wife and I are very happy with. Plus, Mrs. Piper and her staff dealt with the pandemic in a way that kept our kids in as much of a "normal" state as possible. I can't say enough good things about this school, the teachers, and also the other families whose kids are part of the RCS community.
