7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll three of my children have attended PLP it is a great k-8 that allows for inquiry instruction. We love them wearing uniforms and the school culture. There are great teachers and staff there that care about your child. It is an international baccalaureate school that focus on being a globally minded students. We love PLPParent Review4y ago18 Reviews - Tamarisk Elementary School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to this school. She faced plenty of bullying scenarios. The principal was unwilling to accept it was bullying despite my numerous appearances at the school with the dean and staff. It seems the principal is more interested in protecting the school's reputation. The classrooms are crowded. The teachers are very polite and caring, yet they lack support. The atmosphere of the school is hostile. I understand teachers and schools can only do so much, the rest falls into the hands of the parents. I observed parents picking up their children while listening to loud, foul, and disrespectful music. Some mothers consistently picked up their children wearing pajamas. It seems this is an issue greater than just the school, it becomes a community issue. I took my child out of Tamarisk Elementary School and decided to homeschool her. She was behind in her reading, math, and many other skills. I had to start teaching her a curriculum two grades below her actual level.Parent Review1y ago2 Reviews - Tumbleweed Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers are rude. Wouldn’t recommend. My daughter was 5 minutes and literally gave me the key to the cafeteria, talk about safety concerns. The reason they gave me was because I was 5M late. We live in a time were safety for our kids is our #1 priority. This was alarming as a parent.Parent Review3y ago9 Reviews - Yucca Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIBack in 2016, I was a student attending here when I started having really bad tooth pain. I decided to go to the nurse for help, since of course I expected the certified nurse to provide some kind of assistance. Instead, she was extremely rude. I still remember her exact words: “I can’t help you, I’m a nurse, not a dentist.”That response made me very uncomfortable. As a certified nurse, she should at least have referred me to proper care or followed basic first aid guidelines. It felt like she had little concern for a student in pain, and honestly, she might want to review the first aid manual again—she may have skipped a few pages.Other Review8mo ago8 Reviews - Desert Rose Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a new parent in the antelope valley coming from a different state. St. Mary's is one of the best schools in the area. With all the public school system changes, St. Mary's Catholic School is a gem hidden in the antelope valley area. It is a catholic school, but all are welcome. My daughter learns about other religions and their practices in St. Mary's religion class. It is a very humble school, but its principal, staff, and resources available provide and prepare students with a higher level of education. The principal at St.Mary's advocates constantly and creates connections for her student, such as counseling resources from outside the catholic universities that can help support students' mental health. They also participate in state decathlons and compete across the states with other catholic schools. It is a private school, and tuition payment is required; however, your money is well invested in your children's future. The staff is professional, and supporting St. Mary's Catholic School has been a positive change for me and my family. I have had the pleasure of meeting other parents who attended school St. Mary's, and now their kids are also attending. As a parent, St.Mary's Catholic School is an efficient, over-achieving education institute in the antelope valley.Parent Review2y ago15 Reviews - Patterns In Excellence
