Palm Desert High School

This is the best school my children have ever attended. The teachers spend a lot of one-on-one time with the students. The classroom is small and initmate. Unfortunately, my boys only attended the school for one year becaused we had to move, but they had already started with phonics/reading and basic arithmetic. WOW! Great parent involvement. They stay true to the Montessori teaching method. They teach theatre, dance, art class, Spanish and gymnastics. The school is big on manners, politeness, etiquette and respect. They do the pledge of allegiance and pray before snack an lunch! Please do your research on Montessori schools before considering bringing your children here. There is no homework given out. They don't give the kids a lot of time to play outside, but enough to stretch out for at least 15-20 mins. a day. They nap 1 1/2 hrs to classical music. Independent learning at your child's pace which encourages learning and confidence. Emphasis in learning. My kids always came home smelling like perfume. Glad they were being loved & hugged! Founders of Google, Wikipedia & Amazon all attended Montessori schools to name a few, you can't go wrong.

My son has been attending JCSD since Kindergarten and we have had the privledge of knowing and being educated by Mrs. Gould who is the most nurturing teacher any kindergartner and parent of want. She makes the transition from preschool to grade level so easy. She takes the time to get to know the child, understand their learing ability and personality and provides top notch teaching! My son loves the Jewish education he gets including Hebrew. I never would have known this was such a strong interest for him, had I not enrolled him in a school with Jewish teachings and values. To have a "value" each month that the kids learn and stive for is such a nice foundation for familiy discussions at home. We felt so welcomed when we joined the school, the families and other faculty/staff at the school couldn't be more helpful, and friendly. We truly enjoy being a part of this amazing school.

I have been at Sacred Heart since 4th grade I have just graduated from 8th grade and I am now going to Xavier. Sacred Heart was truly a blessing to go to. I started when Covid first took over and everyone was on zoom. We got to in person school in early march. At first I was scared meeting everyone for the first time and seeing how everyone functioned at this school. At first it was confusing because I was a nervous wreck but throughout the years I’ve branched out and have made so many friends and even the people I don’t talk to I still think of them as family….Sacred Heart family. I’m love this school with a passion even though some days I would skip school on purpose I would always get funny stories from my friends that made a part of me want to go to school the next day. I am happy that Sacred Heart made it such an easy transition to high school especially for Xavier College Prep. Hopefully everything goes well for me in high school but most of all I hope you will send your kids here so they can have sacred heart shape them like it did to me.
