Read what parents are saying about Del Rio Elementary SchoolThis school is amazing. We are a military family that decided to set roots here in Oceanside and my little one is attending Del Rio Elementary School since pre-school till now on his 3rd grade. Teachers and staff are all wonderful and amazing. I love how my son is growing up in a very diverse school community where he learns not only academic stuff but also about kindness, acceptance and compassion. Love this school and will recommend it to everyone especially to any military families who will be station here.
Posted by a parent on 1/27/2023Del Rio teachers and staff truly care about the well-being of each student. They create personal relationships that span several years. They consistently review their practices to cultivate growth within themselves and therefore their students.
Posted by a community member on 1/9/2023Del Rio is such an amazing school! The staff is so engaging and really want to make connections with students and families. The front office staff is so friendly and they are always there to help.
Posted by a parent on 12/1/2022This school used to be the lowest performing school in Oceanside; but those days are over. It is climbing the rating scale and with good reason. Teachers are passionate, engaged, and make learning an experience. The campus is super clean, and the atmosphere is like a big family.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLibby Elementary is a hidden gem with students who are happy and eager to learn. Administrators are very caring and nurturing toward the students and staff. The school principal and assistant principal go above and beyond to reach the kid's needs, whatever they might be. Fun fact, there is a food forest and over 20 garden beds. One can tell that the social-emotional learning of students is a key component to Libby's success. Teachers are passionate about their careers and bring years of experience to the classroom. Those who serve the school in a non-teaching role seem to enjoy what they do. High expectations for a well-rounded education are key and evident at Libby. As a proud teacher, I am aware of my student's needs in order to succeed. It is an honor to teach at Libby Elementary.Teacher Review1y ago - Reynolds Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school with great Spanish immersion program. Maestra Rodriguez is a hero. She works tirelessly to make sure that kids get a quality education. I have never seen a teacher responding to ClassDojo messages at 10 PM at night. This shows how dedicated she is to her students. We are so happy to have our child in this school.Parent Review1y ago - Nichols Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm not surprised about the abysmal test scores...the kids spend most of the day in the schoolyardplaying. All the staff should be ashamed.Other Review10mo ago - Mission Meadows Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI really wanted to like this school but it just hasn't happened after almost a year. The teachers don't seem like they enjoy their jobs. The principal and vice principal lack follow through and don't respond to emails. The best thing about the school is probably the hard-working PTA. And I love the diversity.Parent Review1y ago - Alamosa Park Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child currently goes to that school right now. The school is amazing. The teachers are amazing and get an A+ across the board. The only one complaint I have, and I've heard this from many parents. The principal, Mrs Hollowell. She is the most fake administrator I have ever come across. She talks down to the para's that are in the classrooms helping. Shows no respect to them. The way she administers makes me think she got educated in the stone age period. She talks down to the kids, making them feel guilty of every little offense. They are kids, especially those that are in 2nd grade and below. Remember, they are learning, they will make mistakes on the way.Parent Review2mo ago - Faithful Christian Academy
