Sure Foundation School

Hands down one of the best schools in San Luis Obispo county. The teachers, the staff, the principal all show a genuine love and care for their students.

If you are worried about your little one starting transitional kindergarten, do not fret. Mr. Hemen is an amazing teacher and has "kid magic" like no other educator that I have worked with. Our child had such a great year and to be honest, Im actually kind of sad myself that she can't go back to his class. I can't speak for the K-6 experience yet, but so far, we are happy with why we moved here.

We've had one daughter graduate from Dorothea Lange and another just entered Kindergarten this year. Our oldest went from being threated to be held back from her school in Nevada to becoming a top reader. She loved all of her teachers and counselor. Though in high school now, she has visited them several times and keeps in contact with several. Our K-schooler loves her teachers and loves going to school. The worst thing about Lange is the parking/drop off in the morning. The academic programs and teacher involvement are top notch. We absolutely love Dorothea Lange Elementary!
