Mount Eagle Academy

St. Perpetua might be a good fit if what you’re looking for is a very traditional Catholic school experience. But if you’re looking for strong academics, I’d really think twice. In our experience, the school seemed a lot more focused on things like skirt length, uniforms, and Mass than on whether the kids were actually being challenged academically. There are definitely some good teachers there, and I don’t want to take away from that. But overall, the academics felt inconsistent. And honestly, it feels like the diocese doesn’t pay teachers well enough to attract and keep top talent across the board. For what families pay, I expected it to feel meaningfully better than the local public schools. It didn’t. In some ways, it felt like it couldn’t really compete.
