Read what parents are saying about Lydian AcademyToday my child is a joyful, healthy, motivated senior at Lydian Academy. A learning difference diagnosed in 9th grade brought us to Lydian and since then he’s thrived there – able to realize his own academic potential. Lydian has afforded him the opportunity to develop and grow his own non-profit, has challenged him academically, and has supported him with the entire college application process (thank you Perla and Elisabeth!) from test proctoring to rec letters to AP course selection. Because of that academic support and intangible emotional support over the past four years he was recently admitted into an Ivy league university.Lydian Academy and specifically principal and now organizational leader, Jonathan Frecceri, have been life-changing for my child and our family. From our very first meeting with Jonathan, we could feel his genuine care during a very difficult time. He told it like it was – what Lydian would offer and what it couldn’t (being a small, 1:1: school) but, most importantly, we finally felt like we had a partner to help us navigate our new, unknown situation. He is so genuine in his care and concern for families - truly a hidden gem who goes WAY above and beyond, along with Perla and every single staff member.Within just a semester at Lydian, our child started to flourish. His teachers took the time to understand how he learned and tailored their teaching approach. He had one teacher that didn’t quite click and Lydian worked quickly to provide a new instructor. We had another amazing math teacher who pushed my son to take AP Calc BC because he believed in him. We were all a team. All the while, Jonathan and everyone else on the staff was always available for anything we ever needed, large and small, academic-related and non. Lydian allowed my son to push himself academically - taking AP courses and taking 6 courses in Junior College through their early college program. Confident in his academic abilities, he was planning on transferring out of Lydian but chose to stay once schools went remote for COVID, and he’s glad he did.Lydian has been recently re-accredited with the highest WASC accreditation. If your child needs a more tailored educational experience, there’s no better place than Lydian. We are forever grateful to everyone at Lydian.
Posted by a parent on 3/7/2022I was so impressed by the the kindness and respect shown towards students and families. Lydian are interesting, fully engaged, and committed to reducing the stress typical of the middle/high school experience. The curriculum was appropriate and meaningful. Lydian is a refreshing educational alternative!
Posted by a parent on 10/27/2021My son's experience at Lydian was fantastic. He arrived there in the middle of 6th grade after having tried a couple of other private schools. Lydian was the first place that offered him the guidance and support he needed to develop his social and emotional skills. At the same time, the ability to move at his own pace academically kept him engaged. Today he excels academically, receiving top grades in AP Calculus at only 15, and has a successful social and extra-curricular life. We all credit Lydian with giving him what he needed to get where he is today. I cannot recommend it enough if your student is bright and curious, but needs a little help figuring out how people work.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is okay, not great. The education across all grades is respectable, but the social aspect is challenging. The parents and kids can be very exclusive and at times kids can be mean. If your kid is not usually considered one of the popular kids this might be a tough place for them.Parent Review6mo ago - Nativity Catholic School K-8

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWorst school in the area, No support for students who need learning assistance. Want students to be perfect . Principal could care less about teaching extremely high, unrealistic standards for kids of such a young age. Clearly, more concerned about test scores vs supporting healthy minds. Our student is incredibly stressed and principal retort "it's a private school, get used to it." How godly.Parent Review6mo ago - Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton
