Read what parents are saying about Santa Rosa AcademyOur experience at Santa Rosa Academy has been nothing short of a nightmare. The school is infested with bullies, both among students and teachers, creating a toxic atmosphere that is actively harming the well-being of countless children. Despite an alarming prevalence of bullying, the administration's response is shockingly inadequate, reducing serious issues to mere paperwork with the so-called counselors proving utterly useless. What's truly disheartening is the misplaced priorities of the school, where enforcing rigid uniform policies takes precedence over addressing the physical and academic well-being of the students. The directors, Mr. Hennings and Ms. Bradshaw, seem content to remain hidden behind the curtain, doing little to curb the rampant bullying that plagues the institution.A distressing pattern emerges with the apparent dismissal of excellent teachers, likely casualties of the murky politics unfolding behind the scenes. It's evident that the school is failing its students on multiple fronts, and the lack of intervention from the district is baffling, given the extensive damage being inflicted on so many young lives. Our strong advice is to steer clear of this institution, as sending your children here may expose them to lasting harm.
Posted by a parent on 12/6/2023I had two students in red track and red track definitely gets the short end of the stick. I had one of my kids go on a field trip and not the other... you can imagine the excuses I had to make up. The school is beautiful but the parking and valet is so dumb... having such a huge parking lot why can't they open it up and place a few security guards. The struggle for teachers is real and like I said red track gets the short end of the stick. Once a week my kid gets to go to school for a workshop class and they canceled a few times because the teacher called out and they have no subs. I love the uniforms, I love the building but other than that they are definitely disorganized and once I started seeing their grade levels go down on here I didn't think it was worth my sacrifice homeschooling my kids. Back to public school they go where things here in Menifee are not much better but at least my kids are happy that they get to interact with more kids. The lottery to get into the blue track for the school is all politics. This school is no better than public school that's for sure. Prettier that's all.
Posted by a parent on 9/15/2023Extremely disorganized and uninformed administration. I have a blue track student and was told multiple things that were not accurate, but no one takes responsibility or apologizes for their errors. I don't think it is malicious, but it causes great confusion for parents and students. Teacher and principal turnover is high. Very difficult to get in touch with any administration who has correct and current information. Telephone messages are not returned as well as some emails are not answered. The school itself is showing some wear and tear and is in need of overall upkeep. The traffic created for pickup of students is terrible, but so are most schools in the area. The one positive thing to mention is that the students wear uniforms and that is the reason my student stays. For students to have a positive experience the parents must be constantly involved and very patient. The school tries student and parent patience because of the disorganization and unequal treatment. It is probably no worse than most public schools, except Santa Rosa Academy tries to paint themselves as a high functioning, thus a better version of the larger public high schools. They are smaller, but then it would seem they should be on top of things and they are not.
Posted by a parent on 6/15/2023This school was unable to provide Special Education and based on his last IEP fell 2 years behind and we had to transfer him to another school
Posted by a parent on 10/20/2019This school is about raising good humans. It emphasizes character and values. It is strict but helps to build confidence that a student can do hard things.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are new to CWM for the 2022-23 school year. We transferred in mid-year. We have a second grader who is extremely shy and has lots of worry & gets very nervous. Adriana, from the front office team was our first contact & was so kind and welcoming. She was extremely organized and responded to my many questions so quickly when I emailed. She helped us gather all the necessary information for starting out and connected us with our Teacher, Mrs. Taylor along with the Principal, Mr. Mitchem and Counselor, Ms. Medina. The communication from all of them was top notch! And there is not enough space to write about Mrs. Taylor. She one of the best teachers we have ever partnered with! She communicated with us from the get-go to understand our child and situation and is so helpful in providing us with links/directions/answering questions, etc. Our child has come to absolutely love her in such a short time!I appreciate that the Principal is hands on vs. a watch from afar! He is at the gate many mornings welcoming students and knows so many of their names. As I understand it he is only in his second year here. That made it more impressive that he knows so many of the students and reflects that he is in fact out and about in classrooms and engaged with the students. The District has also instituted a position called a Community Liaison at the campus'. Mrs. Jackie who is at CWM has also been an integral part of welcoming us to the school and interacting with our child in such a positive way! Seeing her smiling face meeting us at the gate the first few days was so helpful!I am lover of reading and was so excited to see the library on campus! It's got so many books and fun little spots for the kids to get comfy and read. All of our interactions with staff and teachers so far has been honestly so much better than we expected. We have been in Menifee for many years and knew that the "talk" wasn't great about CWM. Our experience has been completely the opposite!I rated 4 vs 5 stars because of things that aren't necessarily due to the schools fault. For example, the campus is very small and also quite old. They seem to be bursting at the seems in regard to room and there is much that looks like could be done to update the campus. This is a district issue of course but does keep it from a 5 in my thoughts. For everything else, it takes us, as parents getting involved & engaging to help the spirit of a school.Parent Review1y ago - Freedom Crest Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has been such a blessing. The teachers and staff greet my son by name, they are very supportive of my son and communicate openly. I trust my son is in good hands when he is in school. The school is patriotic and supports veterans and their kiddos, I couldn’t recommend this school enough.Parent Review1y ago - Evans Ranch Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI previously had three children at this school. All different grades from kinder - 5th for about 3 years. Over those three years one child was bullied, another felt disconnected from teachers, and other one didn’t have any issues. Teachers are a hit or miss when it comes to education and/or encouragement. Office staff is there to do their job and friendliness is lacking. The principle is very two faced. She acts like she cares about your child but truly doesn’t. She doesn’t deal with any bullying issues and only cares about attendance. Since leaving my children have done so much better educationally and have more encouragement from their new school.Parent Review3y ago - Southshore Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school communicates very well with parents. I believe some of these older reviews need to be reassessed. The staff is friendly and loving towards my children. The school always has drills to ensure the safety of our children and make sure they are prepared if ever in a time of crisis. Both my children are doing well academically.Parent Review5mo ago - On Track School
