Posted by a parent on 9/8/2021My daughter went here from 1st-5th grade and my son k-3: we absolutely LOVE Mesa View. From the friendly front office to the fantastic, dedicated teachers and the awesome Principal. It has only gotten better since we started and my kids never had a day where they didn't want to go. Also, the counselor Ms. Diaz is incredible. We feel so lucky to have had our kids go here. We just moved out of state and are hoping to stay lucky school wise. Thanks for everything, we'll sure miss you all!

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has been such a blessing. The teachers and staff greet my son by name, they are very supportive of my son and communicate openly. I trust my son is in good hands when he is in school. The school is patriotic and supports veterans and their kiddos, I couldn’t recommend this school enough.Parent Review1y ago - Quail Valley Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI previously had three children at this school. All different grades from kinder - 5th for about 3 years. Over those three years one child was bullied, another felt disconnected from teachers, and other one didn’t have any issues. Teachers are a hit or miss when it comes to education and/or encouragement. Office staff is there to do their job and friendliness is lacking. The principle is very two faced. She acts like she cares about your child but truly doesn’t. She doesn’t deal with any bullying issues and only cares about attendance. Since leaving my children have done so much better educationally and have more encouragement from their new school.Parent Review3y ago - Romoland Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is unfair to judge the performance of over twenty teachers based on the comments of one. The teachers at Romoland work very hard and put in long hours in order to provide a quality education for their students. Also, I would suggest there's nothing wrong with a fifth grade teacher wanting to teach 5th graders fifth grade skills. The truth is the majority of 5th graders at Romoland are a SOLID two years behind their peers across California. A REAL fifth grade class is one where 21 out of 25 students are reading at a 4th/5th grade level, NOT one where 2 out of 25 are reading at grade level while 11 are reading/comprehending at a 1st/2nd grade level and 12 are reading at a third grade level! A REAL fifth grade class is one where 21 out of 25 students know their multiplication tables (a 3rd grade skill), NOT 2 out of 25. A REAL fifth grade class is one where the majority of students practice the skill of responsibility by completing and returning homework everyday, understanding that practice is necessary in order to move forward. Students don't get to fifth grade knowing how to read but being unable to read because they haven't been taught, but because once the bell rings at the end of the day many of them don't give another thought to school until the following morning when the bell rings to enter the classroom. A teacher can listen to every single student read every single day, but unless a student practices reading at home his/her progress will be painfully slow. While all students want to do well, those who do well are those who take responsibility for their learning by practicing at home the skills they learn during the day, and they should be able to move forward at a 5th grade level, not be held back because the majority of students do not practice at home!!!! The summer before last the school library was open all summer so students could go and read and check out books to take home to read. Nine families out of over 300 took advantage of this. NINE!!! Teachers become teachers because they care about learning and they care about children. It's frustrating for them when students don't do what they need to do in order to move forward. I don't see telling students that a teacher wants to teach REAL fifth graders as bullying, I see it as, "You're as smart as every other 5th grader in California. PROVE IT!!"Parent Review7y ago - Harvest Valley Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is not a review for the actuall school but for the academy there. I give this a 5 star review because the teachers there are verry supportive and helpful and will take in kids from middle school to 8th grade I went there for only a year and had made a huge change in my grades in all subjects thanks to the teachers Anthony Connel, Philipe, and the wonder full staf members. They allow you to do somthing that you want when you have finnished a couple lessons then the class works on somthing together then review it with notes then back to work and then the same thing. I think the best part of the academy was the teachers and the fact you were able to work at your own pace.Other Review10mo ago - Oliver Christian School Center

This school provided a very sound spiritual foundation in this child that is obvious in how she behaves. I found the staff and leadership to be very dedicated to the teaching of Biblical principals along side of basics. Comfort can be found in that this institution makes all of it's activities fun for the students and remains consistent in conforming all the God's Will. I highly recommend this place for any parent struggling to find a great alternative to public schools. The only drawback is that the teachers may not have the accreditations expected in other private schools, however in my experience, the teachers have the blessing of God and they are far better than most.Parent Review10y ago
