Berenda Elementary School

This school does not provide a welcoming environment. Bullying is not addressed well. Teachers are not supported.

My experience with this school has been extremely frustrating as a parent. I repeatedly raised concerns regarding bullying, student behavior, and communication issues, but I did not feel heard or supported by administration. Important incidents were not always communicated properly, and I often felt left out of decisions involving my child’s wellbeing. A school should create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and protected, and where parents feel like partners in that process. Unfortunately, my experience at this school did not reflect that.

We love this school. Your kid's will thrive with the smaller class sizes and the great curriculum being taught.

Sherman Thomas is a nice, small school with terrific teachers and staff. Everyone at Sherman Thomas pulls their own weight. Parents are encouraged to get involved with their children’s educational experience, but no pressure. This school offers caring emotional support for its students, and their families. The staff strive to see every child succeed. Since it is a smaller school, attention to detail in each child’s learning progress, is often pinpointed, and brought into awareness. At this school, learning is more than just scoring high on tests, it emphasizes the importance of kindness, respect, and overall good citizenship. My grandchildren enjoy Sherman Thomas. The sports, field trips, family involvement, and comfortable feel of the school, reinforce confidence in knowing that not all schools are created equal. Not many schools can boast of being less chaotic, and better equipped to assist trailing students. My hope is that Sherman Thomas Charter rises to the higher levels of achievement that are customary in the District.

ETAA is great school! My kids are excelling academically they are fewer kids in a classroom which is always easier for a child to get more attention, then really strive to make every single student a better citizen then also raise awareness of healthy eating by cooking and preparing there own meals I'm really happy my kids and relatives kids attend ETAA GREAT LATINO COMMUNITY!
